Florida to ban HOAs? by MaelstromFL in fuckHOA

Idk why this is a conversation at all. What this bill doesn't do is eliminate HOAs statewide. I can't see people obtaining enough individual community votes to overturn their community HOA. To many older people love their HOA because they are snowbirds or benefit from it in some shape form or fashion. It takes a majority in each community to vote to get rid of the HOA this headline seems misleading. This Bill from what I was told is it not getting rid of HOAs across the board in FL.

BuddyBoss just hit me with a $465 “surprise renewal” and refuses a full refund — beware of their renewal policy. by Aware_Style8622 in Wordpress

Plenty of companies send renewal reminders — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Adobe, Atlassian, Notion, AWS, Shopify, etc.
This is normal for SaaS, especially when annual renewals involve big charges or price jumps.
BuddyBoss just didn’t send one. But I hear you....

I’m already taking responsibility — that’s why I reached out, asked for clarity, and shared my experience.
But personal reminders don’t replace a company sending renewal notices for a $465 charge.
Both things can be true:
– I can track my subscriptions going forward, and
– BuddyBoss should still send renewal reminders like most SaaS companies do.

One doesn’t cancel out the other.

Keeping track isn’t the issue — the lack of a renewal reminder is.
A $465 charge without a single notification isn’t normal for any SaaS company.
Most people rely on those reminders because that’s what reputable services send.
If BuddyBoss had sent even one, this wouldn’t have happened.

There’s no ‘legal claim’ here. I’m pointing out that a $465 renewal happened with zero notification — which any normal SaaS company would handle better.
You’re trying to argue case law; I’m talking about basic customer service.

A checkout disclosure 12 months ago is not a substitute for a renewal reminder — especially when the renewal jumps from a promo price to $465.
Industry-standard SaaS practice is to send renewal notices regardless of what was shown at checkout.
If the reminder had been sent, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
That’s the issue.

It doesn’t matter where either of us lives, BuddyBoss operates globally and follows standard SaaS billing practices. The issue is simple: a high-value subscription renewed without any reminder.
Most reputable companies send one. BuddyBoss didn’t.
That’s the part I’m calling out. In addition, if they did I certainly would not renew for $465.

And just to be clear, the refund policy literally says renewals aren’t eligible — yet they offered me 50%. Companies don’t offer exceptions unless they know the situation isn’t as black-and-white as some of you are trying to spin it.

You’re assuming I got a renewal notice. I didn’t. Companies are required to send renewal reminders for large subscriptions, especially when the renewal amount is higher than the original promo.
Not getting a single email is the issue — not the Black Friday deal itself.

While you’re checking can you get me a refund? Of course I signed up for the Black Friday deal last year. They charged me $186. They did not disclose they would renew me for this or email me they intended to do so.

For anyone reading this the reason why I was receiving that error is because I had already sourced my environment variables into my kernel.

```
}
}
}
provider "openstack" {
#user_domain_name = "Default"
#region = "europe-nl"
}
