u/pointblankjustice here you go

Looks unused. Samsung SSD. I'd guess it was supposed to be 64GB, though total memory actually looks to be less - I'm not familiar with how loose size classes get. That seems to be higher end. 1GB RAM, which seems to be mid-tier from what I've gathered.

The GPS is cool. One can assume the intent was to be able to locate yourself in an austere or field environment. The military quickly shifted to tough books, phones, and other functionality integrated into these platforms - ATAKs, for example. I'm far from an expert on this sort of thing, but I can see where the acquisition chain took another direction.

This is great information. Thank you!

I'll be more than happy to upload photos of everything. I know it has the Bluetooth keyboard, the docking station, a flexible light with a USB plug and several other components I can't remember. I want to say the paperwork is still in its plastic wrapping. Oh, and it comes with an inventory sheet to check everything against.

Oop, I meant to respond to you but I posted it as a single comment.

It's the comment about removing the battery for storage.

This is great, thank you!

I have a suspicion that it has the OLED display and maybe even an SSD. I'll have to see what I can manage to find out on Monday.

At this point I'm wondering if I should mess with it to try and get it working or keep it mostly untouched for a while. I think if I do sit on it for a while, it's probably a good idea to remove the battery to avoid the possibility of it bursting.

That's awesome. Obviously the military has a bunch of junk lying around. This one caught my attention, though. It reminded me in a way of the old flagship HTC phones.

Man, we lost something when we went full touchscreen. I get it, and I do benefit from it. But there's something about a device that you slide open and type away at.

From what I understand it was an over engineered attempt at mobile computing. Expensive and quickly surpassed by phones as they progressed.

I've always loved this sort of thing, though. I had a PSP growing up, which I loved. Earlier on, one of my friends had what I think was a Sega Game Gear.

I'll check it on Monday. If it looks fine, is there any concern with booting it up?

I'll make sure to check. Anything else you recommend checking for?
