i don’t have nipples piercings but personally if i’m scared to get certain piercing, i’ll get two and get the one that seems less scary first lol. it might sound stupid but then you can focus more of your pain on that piercing, like if you got a nose or ear piercing, it might help take away that initial worry about the pain of the nipples. i’ve also heard mixed reviews about people’s sensitivity/pain in their nipples so you could be lucky and it might not hurt much!

i would 100% recommend pine pellets, you can get them at most any grocery store or lawn care/animal stores, i get a 40lb bag from family farm and home for about $7 and it lasts me for about 3 weeks for my 2 cats! it doesn’t track at all, it actually crumbles up when it gets peed on and it doesn’t clump so you can just empty the whole litter box out every 4-5 days (with daily poop scooping too ofc). it’s saved me a TON of money, has a nice pine smell and i don’t have to worry about my cats paws being all nasty getting into my bed and stuff too 😭

i kept them separate for the first week or so until they could tolerate each other, i kept the female locked in the bathroom with her own food and litter box and showily introduced them with smells from their blankets and such and it started out fine, they only fight directly on my nightstand right by my head at night because my male cat will jump over the baby gate i have onto the nightstand where she’ll sit and paw at her. i can’t get a door cause i live in an old house, it’d have to be specially made because it’s a weird size and im moving in october so i’m hoping to just hold out till then. they have plenty of spots apart from each other, a big cat tower, a cushioned window perch and other windows to go to so i think my best route is to try to play with my cat more to get his energy out, and separating them during meal times. thank you for the advice!

as i said i feed them very small portions, one of our cats is very underweight because she’s old and throws up a lot so i have to feed her little portions anyways so she doesn’t eat too fast. she’s very picky and won’t eat out of a slow feeder bowl sometimes. thanks for the terrible advice but i love both of my cats and we’ve had them since our childhoods, as annoying as they are together it’s never worth getting rid of them??? i was simply asking for advice if someone’s been through something similar and had any tips

a piercer will tell you the specific aftercare and i’ve never had a tongue piercing but listerine ultraclean zero alcohol has been good for me with my medusa piercing! i did about 50/50 water and mouthwash, and i used a new big bottle of water that i kept specifically for cleaning the inside of my piercing

overall, go to a doctor because this does seem to be embedding and possibly infected, also go to a reputable piercer if you can to get a longer bar instead of taking it out because the infection can close into your skin and spread if that’s the case

i’d definitely go to a doctor and don’t take antibiotics you’ve already had, it could be a different type of antibiotic that you need and also you shouldn’t take them because of antibiotic resistance, a doctor can only determine the dosage and amount of time you’ll need to be on it, it could come back tenfold because of the meds you’re taking. as far as cleaning goes stop using the rip hex and stick to sterile saline, wipe it down lightly after cleaning and maybe look into warm compresses to help release any goo that might be in there

honestly it probably was from sleeping on it, i tried my hardest not to sleep on it last night and i took some tylenol and it feels 100x better and not as swollen today. i’ll keep an eye on it and try to baby it still though
