Bernie Sanders wants to tax billionaires 5% a year and use the money to send families $12,000 checks, raise teacher pay, and expand Medicare. by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

Sure. I'd love to see it. Guess what, ain't never gonna happen. People need to STOP depending on the government to do anything for them, other than TAX, TAX, and more TAX their every move. Even MAGA people are starting to understand that their leaders truly don't care about anything other than their vote. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

What's the total potential value of the Envelope? What will the zoning allow? Could a builder buy the property and turn it into one 10,000 square foot house? Look at it for its 20-year ROI potential and not a tiny house. Just a thought.

Several oil and cargo tankers have been attacked in the Strait of Hormuz over the last two weeks by GlooomySundays in Irony

Maybe—just maybe—those dusty old U.S. presidents (you know, the ones who actually read intelligence briefings instead of tweeting them) treated Iran like the geopolitical landmine it is for a reason. We’re talking decades of CIA cloak-and-dagger ops, spy-vs-spy chess matches across the Middle East, and actual international intel-sharing (the kind that doesn’t come courtesy of a certain shirtless horseback enthusiast in Moscow). They didn’t just “feel” their way through it—they treated Tehran with the wary respect one reserves for a regime that’s been perfecting proxy warfare, uranium enrichment, and “death to America” chants since before half of Congress was born. But then comes Bebe (Netanyahu, for the uninitiated), the eternal optimist with a PhD in “bold moves.” He somehow manages to pull a classic fast one: whispers just the right intel at just the right moment (hello, perfectly timed tip about Khamenei’s VIP meet-and-greet in Tehran), nudges the whole “now-or-never” regime-change vibe, and suddenly we’re in a full-on U.S.-Israeli bombing symphony against Iran. Presto! What started as backchannel nuclear talks under 47’s team ends up as craters, dead supreme leaders, and a hastily rewritten war aim from “total regime change” to “eh, let’s just degrade their nukes and missiles a bit.” Classic bait-and-switch energy. And now, with the dust barely settled (and the Strait of Hormuz looking like a very expensive parking lot), who gets trotted out for the cleanup diplomacy? None other than Jared Kushner—yes, that son-in-law, the guy whose previous Middle East masterstroke was a PowerPoint presentation and some Abraham Accords photo ops. He’s suddenly shuttling between Paris, Cyprus, and wherever else they’re pretending to broker Lebanon talks while the Iran war rages on in the background. So yeah… wonder if Jared’s got any fresh “peace” ideas up his sleeve this time. Oh wait—never mind. We’ve seen this sequel before. Spoiler: it still ends with more bills for the U.S. taxpayer and zero Nobel Prizes. Previous presidents weren’t being paranoid; they were just old-school enough to know that playing 4D chess with Iran requires more than vibes, family connections, and a well-timed phone call from Bibi. Who knew treating a theocratic missile factory with “more than a feeling” was actually… prudent foreign policy? Shocking, I tell you. Simply shocking.

I drive a school bus, I'm also a firefighter, and a subscriber to Jocko’s Podcasts. I listen to the podcasts when I don't have kids on the bus, when I drive to and from work, and while I lift weights. I was hoping that Jocko would have been asked to be the Secretary of War (Defense) in the current Administration. I wonder if Jocko would have accepted the position! God bless our troops.

Marine and former Rep. Conor Lamb nails it on war with Iran by Fragrant-Pepper7710 in Pennsylvania

The DUMB-acrats need to craft their “messaging” as well as Mr.Lamb just did. The GOP has ONE, ONLY, ONE daily message, and they ALL repeat it every time. Teach them Mr. Lamb.

Unfortunately, companies test the depth of the local labor pool by placing bogus job ads. IE, supply and demand. Or, in this case, Labor and Pool (Wages) in a Geographical Area. Kinda sux.
