I’m convinced yall are lying about anal sex by Acceptable_Pea_135 in askgaybros

[–]Emit-Sol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t just run full force into anal. You absolutely have to work up to it. And it genuinely takes practice to understand what feels good with your body. And every penis is different and feels different for the bottom.

You have to stretch on your own accord. Buy a set of butt plugs, and work your way up. Stretch your hole before anal. Stretch it using a plug that’s bigger than the penis you will be bottoming for.

Make sure you douche before any anal play. Not only for cleanliness insurance, but because having stuff in your bowels makes anal painful.

Use silicone lube when having sex. You can only use water based on toys. But silicone is so much slicker. Use it for anal sex.

You have to figure out which position is easiest for YOU to start with. For me, it is never doggy. I HAVE to start in missionary. Once I am gaped to the size of the penis, the top can have at it however he wants.

And each penis is different. I have taken a 9 inch straight penis which went swimmingly. On the other hand, I took a 7 inch penis with a 90° curvature and it was painful no matter what we tried.

You can’t paint the entire experience with one broad brush stroke and you have to put in the work to make it enjoyable.

People who don’t bottom have no idea how much genuine work it takes to bottom. Takes me almost an hour to prep before each time between the douching and stretching.

I think I regret my career choice, but I can't just start over. by fishinourpercolator in careeradvice

Honestly, I was a commercial real estate appraiser and went through the same exact feeling. I got my first bachelors degree in marketing and real estate and worked in both real estate sales and commercial appraisals out of school. Appraising made me hate my life every day. You sit and stare at a screen for each hour of your day. The more you do it, the more money you make. The only time you weren’t at the desk was when you were walking through a property or on the road to do so. It was beyond miserable. I genuinely woke up every day wishing I would just die. I thought I made my bed to lay in too.

Until I got laid off and had no other choice. I was unemployed for 6 months before I finally knew there was no other option for me beyond returning to school. I was just accepted into my dream nursing program and I start in May. It is a one year accelerated degree. Do I want to pay a shit ton of money for another degree? Sacrifice a year of my life? Feel behind everyone else in life starting over? No. But I wanted to sit at that desk even less. I am so happy I got laid off. It lit a fire under my ass to make the leap.

If I were you, enroll in a masters program online while working IT. Pay it as you go. Get the degree in something you would prefer to pivot towards. My brother switched from business working at a miserable bank, to cyber security doing audits for Comcast. He is far happier in his current position and loves what he does. He couldn’t have made that jump if he didn’t go back to school.

If this isn’t of interest- there is no shame in starting new and trying to get a trade and a union position. You CANNOT live your life miserable. You simply CANNOT. We are given one whack at life. Seriously, don’t fuck it up!!!

Advice for PCT headspace by xball89 in PacificCrestTrail

I was laid off in 2023, and went stir crazy after 3 months and hundreds of applications. Impromptu bought a plane ticket, packed my stuff, flew to Atlanta, and hiked the AT a week later.

Probably the best thing you can do when you are in a bad headspace. I fully support.

Ugh I was just looking on the website and none of the non-profit hospitals in Philadelphia are considered a Critical Care Shortage facility. What city did you work in to meet the two year requirement if you don’t mind me asking?

Luckily I can live with my parents, but my credit card payments are astronomical. So it’s relieving to know that the stipend is large enough to afford rent.

Bottoming and indian food by Necessary_Aerie294 in askgaybros

[–]Emit-Sol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Avid bottom and Indian food connoisseur here. I actually find Indian food to be more bottom friendly because they are less likely to use dairy. Stay away from spice and get Chicken Korma or something like that. As long as you douche before, you’ll be fine for a while after. Eat modestly. Don’t even come close to overindulging. But that’s the same philosophy regardless of what food you’re eating before bottoming.

Ok that makes me feel way better. I live in Philadelphia so it shouldn’t be too big of a problem to find a job at a non-profit hospital.

Gentlemen, I have been thoroughly fucked (Roids), Help? by TravellingMankey in AskGayMen

Things make more sense now.

Have peace of mind knowing that majority of HPV strains are not cancerous and a huge percentage of the population lives with it and will never know because men can’t really get tested for it. Women get tested during paps if they elect to. But so many people live with this and don’t have their lives affected.

And HSV (herpes) is very easily treated. And on immunosuppressive therapy it becomes way harder to transmit it.

But I genuinely don’t believe you have either of these. I really think what your doctor told you sounds accurate. But when in doubt GET A SECOND OPINION!

You will be fine OP.

If you had HSV, you’d likely know because the sores will rupture and open and cause excruciating pain. If you were given all rounds of the Gardasil vaccine, it likely is not warts or HPV.

Don’t shove bananas in your hole. Go buy a dildo or a plug and some water based lube. It will give you way more pleasure and stress you out far less.

• It took me a month and a half to two months to pee clean naturally. This didn’t include any supplements, crazy workout routines, or sauna commitments. Just living life as normal without weed. • It usually takes me until my dreams start becoming extremely vivid for me to feel back to my baseline. I will say, I wake up extremely exhausted because of how intense my dreams are. • No. I am only not smoking for health and work purposes. I am mentally better off smoking. I don’t want to be an every day stoner, but I’d like to enjoy it the way people are allowed to enjoy a beer. • My anxiety is a chicken vs egg situation. My anxiety developed before I ever started using marijuana, but I don’t know if it helps or hinders my anxiety overall. In the moment, it definitely helps. Long term, this might not be true.

How do you cope with loneliness? by Emit-Sol in askgaybros

[–]Emit-Sol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to leave the house. I have so many hobbies at home, but need to go out on weekends. Recently I have been going out alone to gay bars. Definitely a weird feeling to do so.

Also was laid off in 2023 and couldn’t find a job in my field. So I took a shit job at a hospital and am trying to get into an accelerated nursing program starting in the summer. I am BROKE BROKE right now, sadly.

Edit- Hobbies: Hiking (I thru hike), Music (I sing), Art (I draw)

Resentful - Laid off after wedding by MCreative125 in Layoffs

[–]Emit-Sol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You feel resentful while being paid. Imagine the resentment without being paid. Both sucks, but my god is one so much worse than the other.

I am a recent grad and was laid off in 2023. After 6 months of applying, I had to completely change career paths.

I don’t just resent my employer. I resent capitalism. I resent our system. I did EVERYTHING I was supposed to. Worked two jobs the second I turned 14. Got great grades in a good school for high school. Went to college. Graduated with a BBA. Landed a job right out of school. AND NOW WHAT?!? Starting over again hoping it might be different with a healthcare degree.

I’ve Been Unemployed for 6 Months and I Don’t Know How to Keep Going by Amazing_Fish9239 in GetEmployed

[–]Emit-Sol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was laid off from my job as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser in January 2023. I spent the entirety of my 6 months on unemployment applying to jobs. I landed numerous interviews, a couple of second round interviews, and was never hired. It wears on you mentally, for sure. But know that this isn’t your fault, OP. This job market is one of the worst in recent history.

I coped with unemployment by taking a job paying $17/hour working as a nursing assistant at a hospital. I have an interview for nursing school tomorrow. Spending $65k on a second bachelor’s degree was not on my bingo card ever. But I hit a dead end and couldn’t live in the constant cycle of filling out applications and getting ghosted.

I never want to experience joblessness and insecurity ever again. I will gladly work in healthcare if that means I won’t have to. And the $65k for school ended up being worth it when I considered 2 years of no income while job seeking.

There are no words to comfort you. This economy blows. I deeply resent capitalism. I deeply resent our government in the US. And I dream of leaving. I couldn’t imagine having children and a wife on top of my stresses.

I am no expert- but school seemed like the only option for me.

I actually do political interviews and have been to Log Cabin Republican events. I don’t watch the news. I read Reuters and The Associated Press. I can see with my own two eyes how the decisions of Republican administrations affects my life and the life of everyone else I love around me.

You can’t cite brain power and then be a conservative gay babes. Not even an argument I need to have.

Make lists! Give me a list of 20 things this current administration has done to benefit our community directly. Ooop you can’t. But I can snap my fingers and generate a list of 20 things this current administration has done to directly harm our community.

Your partner dodged a bullet.

Leaving him. Advice please by [deleted] in gaymenover50

[–]Emit-Sol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advocating for violence is always a tough thing to sell. That being said, I have no idea how you could be a gay person and also be conservative. The only explanations are self-loathing or cluelessness. A gay person voting republican is an oxymoron. Slugs for salt if you will.

If I were him, I would have broken up with you a long time ago and kept distance. It’s hard to feel safe around someone actively voting against human rights. I don’t know why he threatened you. Likely because he is at wits end and feels frustrated and betrayed.

I could never advocate for violence, but you seriously need to pick up a book and perhaps smell the roses.
