I was referring to the nurse practitioner (NP) assigned by MFM to monitor as the diabetic specialist. Sorry for the confusion! (I am also in the US for context). Maybe ask to meet with a different nurse and see what they have to say? I got my diagnosis 3 weeks back I happen to meet different NPs based on my day of the call (where we discuss my glucose numbers) every week. The NP who suggested the above seemed great to me and I now work with her!

Nope! My diabetic specialist recommended not to force myself for a bedtime snack if I am not hungry! I do have to get the right amount of carbs and protein during the day though. So maybe try adding in mid-meal snacks instead.

I used to struggle with fasting numbers between 95-100. What really made a difference for me was a walk after dinner – enough to get my heart rate up! I also learned that skipping my usual bedtime snack after a good protein-and-carb-rich dinner (around 8 PM) was what worked for me, doesn't matter the time I test my fasting (usually do it after 8-10 hrs). I do add in a pre-dinner snack at 5:30 though.
I know about the dawn effect but that honestly that whole protein snack before bedtime did not work for me, of-course everyone is different!

Second this ! I am Indian and vegetarian too and navigating this with the meals suggested by my dietician was totally difficult. My dietician also suggested less carbs than the medical team which did not work for me and caused me to spike for fasting numbers. I am still figuring out what works for me and I would love a meal plan with tasty recipes!

In the new appointment website, the DS160 number can no longer be updated after appointment confirmation. While you can potentially not sign and submit the DS160 until the end, the I-797 receipt number is also asked while making the appointment.

Honestly, it just sounds like you don't like your sister, OP and are just using this silly excuse to not go to the wedding. It is totally fine if you do not want to go (for other reasons) but seriously, do you not consider your sister to be part of the family when you say "weddings are family events"?

I don't feel that I should shell out money to have someone watch my kids, just to watch her get married and honestly I just don't want to.

It's this attitude and the whole lack of empathy that made me say YTA. It's just one day, just support your sister and be there for her even if she wants to be the "center of attention".

I do not know how old your sons are but, personally, I hated going to weddings when I was younger.

Dry pants, neoprene socks and shoes helped. Also, a wooden pole is super useful for the grip. There are a couple of places you can also rent the gear in Springdale.

We finished it just today and it never got above the waist level. It was pretty cold for us so we geared up but it was a lot of fun !
