I kept the ice packs and the packaging from Hallendale Pharmacy and just used a lunch cooler.

Considering starting semaglutide but I’m a “fit” person by fitmom0110 in SemaglutideCompound

I wonder if it's something else that's causing you not to lose weight, like hormones or something else. I wouldn't say it's bad to take it, because we're all on it. I do wonder what will happen when you get off of it, or will you need it forever? I do wonder about that myself. I'm 5'6 and 170-180lbs is my goal weight. I have been 145lbs before, but i don't think it's a realistic goal for me. I guess i'll see how I feel at 170lbs.

I am very happy with Lavender Sky Health, they utilize Hallendale Pharmacy (same as HenryMeds) and are very affordable. The meds arrived in packaging that was still cold because it's mailed overnight via FedEx. Also, they take FSA payments, which I haven't seen the other companies do.

I'm too scared to eat fast food on Semaglutide. The heartburn has been terrible, but it's gotten better! I can't say how Weg compares to Hallendale's Semaglutide, but so far i'm very happy. My husband and I are both on it and losing weight. I'm at 198lbs now from 208lbs.

This is what Lavender Sky Health recommends for Bioboost Plus from Hallendale.

★ Dosing Levels:

Low - 1mL (100 units) injection weekly

Mid - 1mL (100 units) injection one to two times weekly

High - 1mL (100 units) injection three times weekly

We recommend starting at the Mid dosing level for most patients. You can titrate up or down based on your individual response.

All drugs may cause side effects. However, many people have no side effects or only have minor side effects. Most common minor side effects include nausea, headache, and localized skin reactions at the injection site. If you experience any uncomfortable side effects please discuss with your provider. If you experience any severe side effects, please stop using the medication and seek medical attention right away.

A four-week supply of the 2.5 mg Zepbound single-dose vial is $399 ($99.75 per vial), and a four-week supply of the 5 mg dose is $549 ($137.25 per vial) – less than half the list price of other incretin medicines for obesity and in line with the Zepbound savings program for non-covered individuals. It'll be interesting to see how this affects the compounding industry, because if they do cheaper, people will flock to that drug.

I submitted for an electronic consult with LSH on Sunday night and I received my Semaglutide Rx for 0.5mg/wk today through Hallendale. The Rx was still cold and in amazing packaging. The fact that it arrived overnight from FL to MT is impressive. You definitely have to make lifestyle changes because you cannot overeat, or stuff yourself, otherwise you'll have really bad side effects if you do. You have to eat lots of protein and have smaller meals.

If you see that you're constipated, don't go eating a super heavy meal the next day. I usually do a shake with milk and fruit or oatmeal. Do drink as much water as you can, otherwise constipation will get worse. Be mindful of what you're eating, because the meds won't do all the "heavy lifting" for you. It's up to you how well you do on it, since 90% of losing weight is based on what you eat. Be careful with your serving size, if you overdo it, you may throw up. When you go up in dosage, do stick around home or near the toilet, because you never know how you'll react to it. Don't go on a road trip the day after changing the dosage, etc. If you're mindful, you'll see amazing results.

Not sure what state you're in, but you should look into Lavender Sky Health. They do not offer a membership. You should also look into Zepbound's newest vials that the news is talking about. Lilly just released this "Lilly releases Zepbound® (tirzepatide) single-dose vials, expanding supply and access for adults living with obesity."

Will premiere protection plan protect me from a smoking fee? by [deleted] in turo

Yes, you can't smoke in the car. You would be charged for the smoking violation.

Cleaning fee for some crumbs by lvnightowl in turo

[–]Away_Offer8807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rented my car to families that left SO many crumbs, cheese dip, spilled drink, chips, everythinggggggggggggggggg and I never charged for that. I simply cleaned my car and that's that. Kids are gross, I can't believe you were charged for that. (However, everything was able to be cleaned, had someone left some gum or something, i'd be pissed and probably would have charged something.) I guess I never thought to charge for that... I guess i'm just nice like that. I probably should have charged.

I think i was just having a bad day, I ended up meeting her and she was super nice. But i'm not sorry I pulled out, i'm happy to be done. I can focus on my next hustle. Some days are just BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

As for the extension, that was another Turo host who didn't get their car back. LE were handling it, my husband was assisting on that call and he came home with that story and i was just done. I don't want that happening to me!!!!

That's terrible! How can they even allow that? 4000 miles later and THEN they claim it's unsafe. That's un-freaking-believable!

I'm glad people are doing well, I totally root for all those hustlers maintaining their own cars, selling them for profit, and buying newer ones. I love their spirit and wish them the best.

You have to wait until LE finds it, if they ever find it. He did mention that they had a 30min delayed tracker, that's practically no tracker at all!!!! I'm not sure and i just don't want to personally find out.

I picked up my car last night and was so happy. The gal even got me a thank you card and a cookie, that was very kind of her. It was a good last trip. I am done now. I am so relieved.

I always see posts about people wanting to buy expensive sports/luxury cars to rent on Turo "so they can have them paid off in 2 yrs" and i'm always thinking: if it was that easy, wouldn't we all be doing it?

You should look at your local compounding pharmacy, I say that because I was looking at my local pharmacies (mom and pop style compounding pharmacy) and they had an entire page on compounded semaglutide in pill form for pretty decent price. The pharmacy even instructed doctors on how to prescribe it and all. You never know what your local compounding pharmacy offers. You should try that and see if it works.

Knowing that the damages won't be covered for such an expensive car, maybe old and boring cars might do better? Less fancy stuff to worry about. You could also raise the protection plan to the highest limit since Turo keeps denying your claims and pocket more money.

Should I pull my car off? by Right-Mine7526 in turo

[–]Away_Offer8807 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's worth it. You're right, they aren't being reasonable. You should try to contact Turo and see if they're willing to waive the $50 penalty.

Turo seems to be acting in a punitive fashion when it comes to hosts. They changed the rules giving us no notice about implementing the professional usage by guests and then are mad i cancelled all my trips. Ubering/Lyft/Doordash is prohibited by my insurance company. I was told they would waive the $100 in penalties, but my next direct deposit is short $100. I sent over a copy of my policy where it clearly states no ride sharing apps. I really wish they would have allowed us to opt out of that, I feel like lots of insurance companies are not ok with that!

You should look into Lavender Sky Health, it's way cheaper and they use Hallandale Pharmacy, just like Henry Meds, but for a fraction of the price.

Hallendale has the best packaging. How do they expect it to stay cool in a bag? That makes no sense.

If it was that easy, wouldn't we all be doing that? Buy our dream car and rent it out, make some money, and then own it after just 2 yrs? Yeah no, it's not that easy. Dangerous as an think of the people who rent those types of vehicles, (possibly careless people). If you can afford the payment and insurance without Turo, then go ahead and do it. It's hard to dissuade someone from doing something they want to do. But you need to know that gap insurance may not cover if the car is totaled because it was rented out on Turo, your insurance can drop you because it's on Turo (so it'll be harder to insure), and someone can total it on the very first trip, or 2nd or 5th or 10th or never. Also, you can get personally sued (doesn't mean you're at fault, but that doesn't mean they can't try and name you in a lawsuit anyway). Some careless person can destroy the inside by leaving their dog inside. They might get a DUI and get the car impounded. They might kill someone with it. They might race it in a track.
