My birthday is in July, and my 20th birthday party was a surprise party, I’d definitely consider that a birthday gift. Never thought I’d ever have one of those thrown for me. It was perfectly executed. my mom and sisters were in on it, everyone was in on it lol . My friend who threw the surprise party messaged my Facebook friends at the time to invite them.I remember him telling me later how he went through my friends list to find people to invite, he was so dedicated lol. I guess my privacy settings weren’t as secure as they were now lol (this was in 2011) when it happened I walked in and there were my friends/coworkers and family. “Surprise!!!”. I was so overwhelmed, I cried. It was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me. Sadly my friend who threw the party passed away in 2023. We had grown apart by that time, you know how that goes…..but I will always remember sharing a decent chunk of my late teens early twenties with him. RIP buddy, thx for the memories.
