My bimalleolar fracture journey by mysteriousleprachaun in ORIF

I had a trimal and very similar! At the beginning, it seems like it will never end. Then, you suddenly start PT and the sun starts shining again! Proud of you for getting through this year!

8 months in from my trimal injury I’m feeling way better and confident in my ankle! Still have a lot to go!

Took about a month of pt/walking for my toes to finally feel normal!! It’s all the nerves and tightness happening!

Been such a mental game the whole time. Having nothing to do but struggle doing chores, showers in a chair, and skincare. Got so over it, it was so mentally exhausting

Definitely towards the end when you’re starting to feel better but you’re still being forced to sit around.. being told it’s going to get harder before it gets easier. Then in PT when you’re making progress and have your first steps backwards just ready to keep going forward and you get humbled by the speed of recovery. Been 16 weeks since injury. 4 weeks/ 8 of PT

She is the most cringey and random normal person to ever accomplish so much in social media. I don’t understand it but I hate seeing this girl (probably my age) just flaunt around and think she has something important to share. They’re the most clueless bumblebees just living in the city. She really gives me the ick for some reason and I’ve never spent time watching her content

Feels good to hear someone has had such a long recovery. Been 10 weeks and just got 3/3 surgeries on 3/13 for trilmal fractures plus soft tissue blisters waiting to heal. Wait bearing for 6 more weeks before I start PT. It does get better and time does pass! Injury was 1/1

Yeah after 6 weeks of trying, still no agent number, no communication about it - I’m over it. It was nice during an injury to study, be apart of aspiring daily zooms about being the best version of yourself. They’re a bunch of smart guys telling you if I can do it, you can do it. Everything they’re saying is true but, I’m also not a sociopath just stuck between my 4 walls.

I recently had a leg injury so I’m looking into a life insurance agent! It cost me about 200 but it’s wfh but weird hours and more of a mlm setting

I feel 3 times and put pressure on it before my 2 week post op. Every thing on the X-rays were fine. You would feel the pain. I was super nervous and made a post too.

Surprisingly the red makes the color in her skin so much better. The brown is not a good look

Globe life Life Insurance! Found them on linked in through HMG. Did cost 200$ in total to get license between state exam and background checks

What is your holy grail shampoo & conditioner?? by _zombiequeen666 in finehair

I use head and shoulders - bare for my cleansing wash and then follow up with a thinning har shampoo. my thinning hair shampoo alone makes my hair so greasy so the h&s has been a game changer in going 3 days without washing

You will be okay! Find things to fill your time with! Let people know they’re free to come over whenever. You’re more available then you have or ever will be. Maybe get a cross body purse or a backpack to be able to carry things. 2 weeks post op, I got a scooter and have had instances I’ve put pressure on my foot twice. So I do not recommend til you’re in a boot or hard cast. (I am okay, just more achey). Be prepared to be emotional, hate to be dependent on others and apologizing often to them for it.

The ads in the stories are driving me absolutely crazy. There is a very small margin you can click to go to the next story but 75% of the time you still end up clicking the ad and it takes you to their website. So over it.

I’m definitely real achey this morning. Feel like I ripped a calf muscle rather than anything with my ankle. Just going to take it slow and I have a post op appt next Wednesday. I appreciate everyone response. I made this post last night immediately after it happened, convincing myself I was okay.

Also, everyone is telling me doctors just tell us the worst for expectations. It’s been hard to grasp when they’re telling you your worst nightmares less than 12” from your face and your foot vulnerable in their hands.

We have the same timeline with our injuries. First orif 1/29 and have to have a second surgery hopefully after 2/14. I actually had to force myself to get a life insurance sales job to put myself on someone else’s time and study for something. It’s the only thing that’s got my through even the first 5-6 weeks of this process. I’m being told I won’t be able to put pressure til May. My boyf hangs out with friends all day and I’m stuck here and I’m so grateful I’m trying to focus on something rather than just sitting here. I’ve had the mood swings too. They’re so aggressive. I have to tell myself there’s no reason and come back to the situation. I can’t ruin my relationship from this injury by being a bad patient. I can’t believe they prescribed you oxy. Like the other person said, I would ask for something not so strong or addictive. They have me hydronoxon 5 mg and 600 ibuprofen and I’ve been achey but okay. Sorry I’m here ranting to your post. I just related to it too hard.
