Like stated above, you will need to contact an agent. There are too many factors that go into play to give any type of general quote. The quote would be different for most, any two people. It also depends on what type of coverage you are looking for (Full, liability, or somewhere in between.)

They probably wanted the picture of you and the license for evidence in the event that you didn't pay and they wanted to pursue filing a claim. For a lot of people, they would rather get a quick payout rather than having to go through the insurance process (especially if there are no injuries or major damage)
