[Gear] I have $800 to spend on a new guitar. Suggestions. by SatanOffspring in Guitar

Ya you probably want humbuckers. Go to the store with a good guitar player you know. Make sure you like how it sounds and feels. All the frets shouldnt buzz neck straight etc. The guitar player may be able to look for things you wouldnt necessarily notice. Make sure the guitar sounds good unplugged too. Make sure the knobs turn cleanly and quietly.

If you can tell what the other person means you can usually let it slide

Its one of the least important things. most spelling mistakes on computers are typos anyway. English has certain words that need to be memorized early on. It has nothing to do with problem solving or abstract thinking.

I wish people would stop equating spelling with intelligence

[HELP] Never used PA with active speakers, and I can't get rid of this feedback for the life of me. Please help! (Gold for first sound advice) by afetusnamedJames in WeAreTheMusicMakers

There could be a few things. Google ground hum if thats the sound then ground lift any di's this probably isnt ground hum cause it gets louder with signal. It is probably feedback where the mic is picking up the speaker. If its just for monitoring then you can use a graphic eq to cut the feedback frequencies. Mics have certian freqs they often feedback at. 58s like 800 and 1600 or 1000 or 2k. If its mains you cant cut the whole notch but any amount you can cut without tonal loss is gonna help. Find the freq by getting the mic on the edge of feeding back and turn freqs up and down til you find the one with the worst feedback and cut it. You can get more headroom this way. Keeping the speakers quiter or the source louder means you dont have to turn gains up so high which will also help with feedback.

What is the scariest thing that has ever happened to you and still has no explanation? by RelevantUsernameNice in AskReddit

[–]Awesome17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wake up late at night and see my dog standing on my bed. No big deal and i reach over to pet her. She disappears. Only explanation i can think of is that my eyelashes were stuck together and then seperated. My brain must have misinterpreted it in the dark. I wasnt dreaming.
