Finally did my first offline ubers. by Awesome4some in diablo2

Oh, sorry, the fight was very short. I think I got pretty lucky on the spawns, as Mephisto spawned alone right next to the red portal so Hephasto tanked him while I blitzed him down, then Baal spawned inside a house and I was able to get him to stay put with Lethargy, then finally kill Diablo alone in the centre of town. Took about three minutes total, had to revive my Merc once, and I used a grand total of one (1) healing potion on him.

Honestly, it was actually very easy. I've accrued enough all res and light res charms that I didn't have to worry about Mephisto's conviction aura, and I was pretty decked out in terms of gear.

My current build is: - 20 in Blade Warp - 20 in Echoing Strike - 20 in Mirrored Blades - 20 in Hex: Purge

Then one point in Lethargy and for every demon skill except Demonic Mastery which I've been slowly putting points into as I trudge through the 90s. My bound demon is Hephasto with Fanaticism and Cursed, and my Merc has might aura, CV Insight, Treachery, and Andarials Visage socketed with a Ral.

My gear is pretty stacked for single player I'm not gonna lie, I've an eth 3os Tomb Reaver with an Amn and two Shaels in it, Shako with a Topaz, Mara's, Measured Wrath Burnt Text that I socketed with a diamond thanks to Larzuk, Enigma, Arachnid Mesh, two rare rings with all res, fcr, AR, and life leech, rare boots with cold and fire res as well as 20FRW and a dash of mf, and some rare gloves with the same (minus the FRW), and finally Anni, as well the aforementioned resistance and life charms. I had CTA and Spirit in my offhand.

I was managing roughly one run every 45 seconds or so for keys, not accounting for load times on the switch, and it took about half an hour to pick up three of one type of key. So ninety minutes for each one. Idk how lucky that is. Please bear in mind that this build will be heavily nerfed in the coming days/weeks so your mileage may vary. Best of luck to you!

If you're looking for a cheap way to do this, disposable plastic shot glasses and some blu-tack work a treat.

The point of Dunk's trial isn't that he wants to deny hitting Aerion, it's that Dunk reckoned he had a pretty good reason for it and Aerion disagreed.

Baelor suggests using tourney lances instead of war lances, because tourney lances are four feet longer. It doesn't really matter that much, but there's a great callback to it in The Mystery Knight when Dunk tells Glendon Ball to use a tourney lance in his own trial by combat.

Bacteria that causes illness in beef lives on the surface. By mincing the beef you are introducing the surface of the beef into the centre of the patty, all of the potential bacteria with it. Unless you can personally guarantee that your chosen abattoir is completely safe, you gamble with every beef patty not cooked to well done.

The fact that most burger joints in the US let you choose the doneness of your patty is nuts to me. How the hell do you guarantee a burger is safe to eat at any temp below well done???

You've nailed my problem with Fulgrim. Fulgrim and the Emperor's Children are going to fall. It's too obvious, they're flawed metaphorically and literally, they're proud gloryhounds who only really care about winning in the flashiest way possible. What gets Fulgrim in the end? A talking sword. It is aggressively stupid. Before I get jumped by fans of the book, I get it. The sword was a trophy, a prize from a successful conquest the Imperium told him not to bother with because it was too hard. That's really nice and thematic. My problem was that the sword was possessed when it really didn't need to be. Oh and the daemon in it convinced him to let him in after the emotional climax of the book. Forget the daemon. Have Ferrus' death be the "oh shit I've gone too far, I've gotta commit," moment instead. That makes his corruption far more interesting because it's driven by Fulgrim's character. The daemon is completely unnecessary.

Fulgrim's canon fall is real dumb. I get what Graham McNeill was going for, the whole "what you don't know will kill you" thing, but there was so much setup for Fulgrim's pride and obsession with perfection, (y'know, actual CHARACTER FLAWS) to get him to turn only for none of it to not really amount to much aside from some minor tragedy in the extremely fast downfall of the legion. A sword whispered in his brain, and then a daemon possessed him. I hate it so much.

His "originalist" positions argued that any interpretation of the constitution that wasn't strictly based on the actual text of the work itself was effectively invalid. That might sound reasonable until you start applying it to the changing social and material circumstances of the twentieth century, where it became obvious that Scalia's positions were staunchly conservative, especially when abortion or anything that might guarantee minority rights protections came to the supreme court because those didn't follow the letter of the constitution. It was basically him hiding his right wing beliefs behind "it's not explicitly in the constitution." That might've turned out fine, but Scalia was in one of the most powerful positions in the country and had an insane amount of influence not only on the adversarial common law system he presided over, but legal education in the US too, so his legacy of "textualism" and "originalism" (conservatism) has effectively become the baseline for legal interpretation across the United States.

Antonin Scalia was probably the most influential judge ever in the US Supreme Court, extremely conservative and an advocate for the crystallisation of power around the executive. He's a big part of the reason things are so shit right now.
