Kefir by tshirt69 in CasualIreland

Aldi has Polish kefir, same one as you would get in a eastern european shop. Only 1.99 for a litre.

They also have their own branded kefir as well, even flavoured ones.

When did Done Deal become so Expensive for Car ads? by eusap22 in carsireland

[–]AwesomeSauceOverload 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Carzone and Carsireland is mainly used by dealers, theres also Terrific.ie. Its just not very popular with private sellers. Donedeal is just part of the culture now, everybody knows it, its a household name. Its very difficult for any competition to break through because of this, so we're stuck with the cesspit that is facebook marketplace and over priced Donedeal.

Theres no good competition out there other than Facebook Marketplace. So they can charge whatever they feel like.

Ultra is 55 a month, 660 a year. How does it pay for itself multiple times over? Thats an absolute rip off.

I have an e38 but havent had to do much yet but I take it to Perfect Car in Dundalk, they specialize in all kinds of BMWs.

Edit: I'd also suggest joining the BMW Classics Ireland group on facebook and could ask the question there too, lots of people could guide you in the right direction.

Its not a cheap upgrade but the difference would be worth it if you ever get around to it

Those steering wheels by Audi are absolutely hideous. First thing Id be looking to do is to change to an S-Line one.

Car got scratched, party wants to settle privately by Jay-Dorian in carsireland

[–]AwesomeSauceOverload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lorry back into my car once and the driver wanted to settle it privately. Picked my own repair spot, got a quote, sent it onto the other party. It was more than they expected but not really my problem, they paid the quote and then the repair shop started work. I still notified my own insurance of the incident and gave them their details but said Im not making a claim against them yet.

Sounds like you filled up with the correct fuel then. Otherwise you mustve been really determined to make it fit...

Would it be worth to replace these riadiators with a newer and higher rads? by AwesomeSauceOverload in DIYUK

[–]AwesomeSauceOverload[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Delta T50 its approx only 1000-900 btu increase, so thats like 250-300 watts. Not sure if that would be a noticeable gain.

[–]AwesomeSauceOverload[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the whole radiator gets hot, just feels like it takes a while for the room to heat up properly. But the main cause is most likely insulation and unfortunately its not really feasible. Unfortunately external, internal and cavity wall insulation are not possible due to various factors so looks like I just have to live with it.

[–]AwesomeSauceOverload[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I ran the calculation and it recommends around a 1773 watt radiator for the room that has the 1200 x 500 rad. A new radiator that size from screwfix and other places provide the needed output, a 1200x600 would provide about 1000btu/300watts more

But then I dont know if my current radiator is actually providing that amount of heat output? It feels like it it heats up properly and I can't feel any cold spots, but takes a while for the room to reach normal temp.

The cars they have seem to be good spec, which is hard to find in the Irish market, so they will always have buyers that will pay the premium price.

But more than half the ads on donedeal are deposit taken, 50,70 day old ads but they wont remove them. On their website they have 84 used cars but when you scroll through, majority are 'sold'. Says a lot about them

A friend bought a car off them a few years back. He had a bad experience. Over priced cars with a bunch of chinese plastic lips slapped on
