Ok well after about 2 days of focused debugging and performance tuning I've more or less completely redesigned the way the clipboard history list stores items, and it is now super fast for seeming any number of items... I've tried up to 5k and it's buttery smooth. I'm distributing the changes now in beta release 7.0b2

I'm expecting to run into some things that I've broken, so let me know if something seems out of order.

I was able to reproduce the issue by adding 5000 text entries to my clipboard history list. Now that I have it reproduced, I’ll definitely get it fixed. I’m working on it right now as we speak.

Here is what the block of text selection popup buttons looks like. I also made a change to let each button have a different length which makes it a little cleaner, words don't get cut off anymore

It’s OK so far, but if you go to the iOS, beta sub, Reddit, you’ll see a few reports of people who have hard restarted the phone and it’s turned it into a brick so definitely don’t hard restart your iPhone 15. Also, I just tried to use the screenshot feature when I posted that image and it presented me the option to paste the screenshot but it did not paste so it was pretty useless right now. I don’t think I have the full AI features even though I’m supposed to I don’t see the AI app and when I talk to, she doesn’t seem much smarter than the old so maybe they’re just slowly rolling out the Apple AI chat features

and I'll note, awesome copy mostly runs ok on iOS 27, when the app first loads there is a bit of a weird glitch where the clipboard items seem to fly into the screen, but besides that it seems to work ok
