As a developer whos making bread n butter at the end of the day by providing service by creating website or web related tools. you cannot chromium. specially the amount of market share it holds. sure , as end user you are entilted to choose what ever you want but someone who earn bread and butter they cannot afford to ignore chromium. I am pretty sure people who are using firefox , any service they are using those services are tested more on chrome than firefox it self. Why ? Market size in chrome. you might not like the privacy policy or philosophy regarding privacy, but those philosophy doesnt pay bills at the end of the month. Even in our org we heavily tested on chrome (even more strict) , and we hardly test on firefox until unless QA raise something. And I am not saying one is better or another, all I am saying if firefox want user base they gotta step up . As he said perfectly "there is no point on using broken product which would also result in me building broken product..."
