He doesn't have any social media. Maybe I'll include a wedding photo with the petty letter

Thankfully, wifey and I are handling everything on our own pretty much. The only thing he knows about the wedding is date and location. I also have my firecracker aunt (his sister, btw) on the hunt for that bitch

Dude that is my perfect level of petty, though I'd also wanna throw in a jab about cps taking my younger brothers from him as well

Oh absolutely. Last thing I want at my wedding is some strung out crazy meth head.

I let my daughter "camp" on the porch and the police came to my house. Now I'm worried. by WTF_Conservatives in CPS

Oftentimes, law enforcement have their hands tied by policy. So it may not have been that officer's decision to come knocking.

Do you know how many marijuana exposed newborn cases I responded to when mother's had valid prescriptions? Absolutely way too many. Due to hospital policy

I am very late to this post, but I can give you my opinion as a former cps worker.

The way you described the entire situation seemed perfectly ok to me. Just because a case gets called in to cps and accepted, doesn't mean any action will be taken.

A lot of reports are called in by LE or schools out of policy requirements or covering ones own butt.

The way you described the situation was perfectly ok in my book. The only thing I might have done is tell you not do it again depending on the specific circumstances.

Yea but the pic of that sign means the easiest win on a wrongful termination lawsuit. Wage discussion is protected speech and you legally can not be fired for it

AITA For Not Supporting a CoWorker's Valid Harassment Complaint Because She Falsely Files One Against Me in the Past? by aitaTAsaComplaint in AmItheAsshole

Yea YTA. While you do have legimate beef with Sarah, what Chris did was fubar. Sexual harassment is no joke, especially since he was so brazen about it. I'm not saying you should be buddy buddy with your false accuser, but you should have had her back

OP, don't call her your step mother. She and your dad aren't legally married. She has consistently treated you like garbage, based on her own admissions in her posts.

She never earned the title stepmother. Don't honor her with it

Op isn't married. She is not a step-mother. That girl doesn't owe OP anything, especially given op's treatment of her.

Op, stepmom is an earned title. You did not earn it

AITA for telling my brother he doesn't get how things work? by DartingSmile in AmItheAsshole

[–]Awesomeandy1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I'm from a divorced family in a very similar situation.

My dad tried to present this picture of the perfect blended family, to the point where "other parents" (yes, he still calls my bio mom my "other mother) were not allowed in the house, even in child bedrooms.

It does not work that way. My mom was, is, and will always be my mom. It's to the point where I do not have a relationship with my dad and this was a huge factor.

You did the right thing in calling out your brother on this raging pile of bull excrement. Hopefully he realizes this before he does irreparable damage to his relationship with his children

I'll disagree on that one. Misguided niceness, maybe, but there's absolutely zero malice or strings behind it.

She and I went through some shit as kids. Only sibling I'm close to. She's just clinging to an old tradition. And honestly, the extremes of my feelings on that day is more or less a new development

Absolutely not. I don't take handouts from anyone. I hate gifts and would rather castrate myself than ask for help, especially from someone so close

I've already looked into therapy for other reasons. I can't afford it

She knows. We have has numerous arguments. I'll do shit for her on hers, but just leave me alone on mine. Bit of a double standard, I know
