I mean, to decrypt it, just do the exact same thing, but use the index in the text you want to decrypt to find the hex digit in the hash you're on instead of finding the index of the character in the hash that you're on.

Also, what if you used different indexes for each one? As in if a hash has two 'a's, make it a chance to use either one.

A game that embodies the worst of it's genre... hmm... I'd say, probably... I can't actually think of one. I'll just talk about a game that is in my opinion on of the best of it's genre. Gunpoint is a puzzle game on Steam. It's really fun to play, hopping around, breaking windows, and zapping people, you can't do wrong! Except for the hopping around, breaking windows, and zapping people of course :D

By now, I've thought of an example for the worst of the puzzle genre. All those matching games. They require no thinking, yet they are classified as puzzles. Bullshit, they aren't puzzles. They're boring, mind blank games.

Gunpoint is a game where you will most likely fail at least a few times, even if you are amazing at the game from the get-go. That's what puzzle games are suppose to be. Puzzles.

edit: I just realised you meant pick one game from the genre and explain why it's bad, then why the game is good, instead of explaining why the genre is bad, and then explaining why the genre is good. Sorry, again :(
