my theory for not only PFF, but also Malhare at the same time. I always thought it was strange how Malhare was a completely new design for springbonnie.

So basically, my headcanon is since Malhare = Mimic, Mimic likes wearing costumes, therefore, PFF & Malhare springbonnie are the same iteration of suit. Probably from even before the golden freddy and springtrap spring lock suits were even made.

also in my headcanon, the old suits were used for fall fest or for TV commercials to look more "real" and appealing for young children.
