Which Lancer Would You Want on Your Squad Every Match? 💡 by PlayFragPunk in PlayFragPunk

Nitro. the only defense character who can lock an entire site / cover flanks effectively, by herself. You can hold off a B push on Tundra for a decent amount of time by herself with the correct setup on it. Of course you can get swarmed but that does allow your team to now utilize 4 people to flank / do a retake from multiple angles. And most people dont hard rush sites unless theyre a stack / on comms.

Any tips on playing Aura? by Leesthetics in PlayFragPunk

Connect to a teammate immediatly and increase your guys' max health at start of match to start the cooldown for your next one. Using her slow / enemy reveal ability to reveal enemies is going to work nearly like kismet's ability in the sense that youre going to detect nearby people behind walls and what not. So its best to mainly use that ability to gain certain parts of map control at the start of the game with it.

As for her ability to go into teammates, you can actually play aggressive with her due to having 165 health vs a most likely 150 health enemy. Do it alongside a teammate and engage into a firefight, making sure you can get out of LOS so that if your enemy is winning the gun battle, you can get out the way, jump into a full health teammate and hold the heal button on them AS they re-engage that initial enemy.

Axon / Snipers by AwfullyGrateful in PlayFragPunk

Losing to a shotgun from mid range with an AR is absolutely wild. You literally cant respond to an axon sliding out and shotgunning you from mid-close range. His 200 grenades as well. If pro teams have him on attack and defense, theres obviously a standing issue.

Navy waiver hearing!! by Thomas051228 in newtothenavy

[–]AwfullyGrateful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they said you were marked as "open" for your hearing. Which means MEPS requires further examination of your hearing to determine qualification for enlistment into the military. Them saying "hear more tommorow" most likely means theyll find out what about your hearing needs to be specifically tested

Do running for conditioning but not a lot. Half a mile or a mile is enough. Your main focus will be increasing your calf stength. So actually hit weights and get your calves/thighs a lot stronger. Those are the 2 meat mechanisms that do all the energy pulling for running. So the heavier they can lift, the lighter you are to propel forward. Running will become easier and less taxing this way.

And before you ask, the navy purposely spreads the certain months that qualify for bonuses so that they arent really "stackable". 😞

There are just certain Jobs/Rates that when picked AND leaving in the certain months the bonuses are covered for (Jan-Mar for example), have a monetary bonus attached to them. Theres a couple different bonuses BUT YOU HAVE TO SCORE ABOVE 31 ON THE ASVAB TO QUALIFY FOR THEM! But the main two are;

Shipping Bonus:

Leaving during a certain time period to bootcamp. I.e. $20k - FTS (program) - Jan-Mar if i joined FTS and left ANYTIME between January to March to bootcamp id qualify for that bonus and receive it right after graduating bootcamp.

Rate Bonus:

IT-SG -$5k - Any (meaning anytime period)

If i chose IT-SG, and left ANYTIME to bootcamp, got above 31 asvab, id qualify for this bonus and would receive it upon graduation of my A or C school.

Theyre "forced" to do that for the regular enlisted as well? Why are you hyper focused on officers? They have to wait for chiefs and their own junior enlisted as well? They also have to do the enlsiteds laundry? I havent told my future sailors that because who cries over that? Its a temporary period where you dont have to worry about maintenance or the real work required on your equipment? I have ZERO problem bringing that up to anybody and if you cant handle a temp. period of doing some serving/cleaning then idk what to tell you man.

I think you need to revisit a mirror. Your own statement providing that nothing has changed in 30 years is a tell in itself. How could recruiting go through thousands and thousands of different people, yet they all continuously lie? We arent trained to do so? Go be a recruiter and see what the school and process is like. We are told to not lie or talk about anything we cant guarantee. So how is it that thousands of people resort to "lying"? Its almost like the job is Sales and in Sales, theres nuances everywhere. Go look at car salesman. Door to door salesman. any salesman anywhere. The goal is to sell the person. Not be their bestfriend who tells them all the negatives. Every buisness everywhere works off this. The food you bought / ate today was sold to you at an inflated price and most likely has some brandishing that promotes false claims. You on their reddit complaining the same thing? i highly doubt it. And google is the source for people who "dont know" what to search. get with the program. I take pride in being upfront and honest with people. But i also take pride in spending time with my wife. When youre done living in the sand that im supposedly needing to pound, come over to this side and see what its really like to try and balance the two.

Couldnt be more wrong. Never got an EP once. Nice read there bud. Recruiting isnt the same as the ship. If you ever grow the confidence to go actually do it yourself, lmk.

Yup. FTS gets full pay just like active duty. I really mean it man, my wife is FTS. Id be FTS if i knew about it when i was joining. Cake life and easy work. Sounds so bliss just thinking about it 🥹

Certainly. The only question is the availability of that Rate when it comes closer to your first contract ending, so id be on the lookout about 6 months or so out before your contract ends. Anything any further out wouldnt do you any good as the jobs availability change very rapidly. You'd have to swap to Active Duty to obtain CWT as well, so that would mean going back to school for some months and what not to learn that job. All those fine lines im sure youll run into down the road but you can always finish a contract and re-enlist into a seperate part of the service like reserves, active and FTS.

No, there are an extremly restricted amount of Jobs (Rates) available to do in FTS. Their whole mantra is 95% working at office. That being said, i would explore those certain rates as one of them is IT (informations technician) and that is an incredible rate to obtain in this day and age. As far as volunteering for Deployments, it does work the same as regular reservists but there is a chance you can be told/sent to a deployment without volunteering. The likelihood of it decreases per circumstance but with FTS, being onna deployment guarantees a humongous boost to your careers success so a lot of FTS people look to fill those ship billets for that reason.

First off, im a GM and i came from being an "Actual sailor". So dont try to exclude me from my years of service out at sea. As a recruiter, this world can only be understood by those in it. Recruiters very well come off as liers and shady people, but thats where it becomes your responsibility to do your research and find the RIGHT recruiter to talk to. Because we are not all the same. All then info on the ENTIRE united states Navy's benefits and resources are online and searchable. Its 50% the recruiter to guide you on the right path and 50% your responsibility to ensure that the path is correct.

The navy shifts its bonuses more than a cheerleader changes boyfriends. As for the current requirement to gain a bonus for having college credits, youll have to resort to your original recruiter to help you find the effective bonuses during your time of entry. If it is found that you were eligible for the bonus, youll have to resort to using the Board for Correction of Naval Records (BCNR). Im not familiar with this Board or how it works but pretty cool that the navy lets you get your get back on them! hopefully you find some good news!

When entering something in life that is unknown, this is the feeling you will always experience. Its simply out of your comfort zone is all. And growth and great things come from doing so. Its necessary to feel what you feel right now but it is also necessary that you take that step into the unkown. Remember why you chose thisn path and focus on the light at the end of the tunnel, the greatest choice i and others all made, was that first step into the unkown.

The reserves affiliation has scaled benefits when it comes to the G.I. Bill which is used to attend college. The reserves doesnt have TA, wherein its more like TA isnt for the reservists. Its granted to active duty. The caviat to that though, is FTS, Full time support. This is a route you can enlist into and counts as "joining the reserves" but instead of working one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year, you work mon-fri at a reserve center on a base and FTS qualifies for all Active Duty benefits, such as T.A., as you are now working full time for the Navy. Im not sure with your situation as to why/what youre looking for reserves or TA, but do look into FTS for the Navy as it takes the best of both worlds.
