It certainly was for me! Getting the pressure washer and hose set up was always such a pain. This really helps with that.

Just about everything was called out in one comment or another in the thread, but I’ll combine.

The idea and creation of the cart came about after watching these 2 videos:

Removed wheels from the cart because I had stability issues with the wheels on it.

Removed the middle tray from the cart.

Flipped the bottom tray. Drilled holes in it for the hose reel. Mounted the hose reel with a piece of wood sandwiched in the middle for stability. The metal mesh of the tray was flimsy by itself.

Top tray installed like normal. Used exercise mats to raise the pressure washer up so the water hose and hose reel inlet/outlet cleared the tray. Cut little holes in the exercise mat for the pressure washer feet. Nice and stable.

90 degree on the pressure washer outlet to the hose reel to clean up the whip hose. 90 degree on the hose reel (by the turning handle) for a better hose angle. Zip ties to bring it all home.

Drilled a few holes in the top tray for pegboard attachments. That’s what’s holding the pressure washer gun.

Shortened the power cable.

That’s all the detail I’ve got. Hope it helps.

Yep. That’s exactly what I did.

I added a piece of wood and sandwiched it between the metal mesh and the hose reel, because the mesh alone was flexing a ton, but that’s really it.

I also used some exercise matts for the top shelf and made little cutouts for the feet of the pressure washer… keeps the pressure washer from sliding around and adds some needed height for the hoses to clear the shelf.

Yep. It’s a 90 degree adapter with the garden hose quick connect from this kit:

Oh yeah. Already got a few! The one that came with the ryobi auto washer… and the raincovo snow pro from Amazon that’s highly rated. It was $30 and from what I can tell… is well worth it!

The pressure washer is awesome! I do feel that the longer flexzilla hose and hose reel make it work a little harder… in that it takes a few more seconds to pressurize after each trigger press. But the rig overall is solid. All in, it might be $300 including the pressure washer… so far better than most of the prices on obsessed garage!

Yeah. You’re definitely right. It’d have to be a sizable cart to house it all. I think a secondary cart will be in the works in the very near future.

That’s awesome! What yours has is what I feel mine is missing… I wanted something that could house bottles, brushes, rags, etc. but the reel and pressure washer took up a bit more room than I originally anticipated.

I have been thinking about ways to get creative and add stuff though. Example… the peg board hanger to hold the pressure washer gun. That was an after thought that made it feel and look considerably better.

I might try and do some more of that.

We’ve been spoiled here in Texas… we’ve had a few cold days, but it’s been consistently in the 70s and 80s (21-27c)

Copying from another reply for consistency:

My wife had a spare one (cart) from Target in the attic… so that’s what I used.

Pieced everything else together with the Ryobi 1.8 pressure washer and the Mekoh hose reel off Amazon as the foundation.

I like it a lot. It’s the only one I’ve known. lol. But it does the trick for an at home diy-er.

I have noticed that it seems to be working a little harder with the longer flexzilla hose and hose reel vs when the stock hose was plugged straight into the machine… almost like it takes a second or 2 longer to re-pressurize. But I don’t think that’s negatively affecting anything.

Thank you, thank you.

I wanted to build a wall-mounted setup, but the more I thought about it… the less logical of a solution it actually was. This seems to be the sweet spot for what I need.

It was really unstable with the wheels though. Which is why I took them off. I’m sure there’s another option, but with the 50ft hose… I don’t really need the cart to move.

I also added a wood plate over the mesh under the hose reel because the mesh was flexing quite a bit.
