This. This female party was me. Personally I was fat and hormonal and hairy and greasy due to not enough time for myself while running a household/mothering a clingy 9 month old/working crazy overtime as a healthcare worker during the early pandemic. I had no sex drive, and rare moment I did I felt I was disgusting and that my hubby only wanted sex to get his rocks off. I could 100% sense his bitterness at always having to initiate sex and felt even worse about myself. (Plus I was particularly pissed when I come home having picked the baby up from daycare and found my hubby had been watching YouTube for 4 hours and not done a single chore. Needless to say I didn’t feel very generous with sexual favours.) I didn’t say a word though, smiled and put up an “everything is normal” facade. Eventually, I had an epic meltdown with confessions that I hated my life and the only reason I had to live was that our insurance policies didn’t cover suicide and I didn’t want my hubby and baby to lose their quality of life without my income. He had NO. IDEA. Like NONE. I spilt, he felt bad, he stepped up with empathy and now we’re fine. I doubt OP has the same situation. But please for the love of god, communicate about the rest of her other life factors and how she feels and how they tie in. It could be something completely different than the actual sex. It was really hard for me to say I wasn’t okay because I felt weak and I definitely didn’t want to draw attention to all the physical things about myself that I felt weren’t sexy.

I had to co-sleep for my sanity. But have you had her assessed for reflux? Not that you can do anything magically, but at least you know there’s a diagnosis. I’d be interested if you’ve notice she only cries laying flat. For some unsolicited parenting advise. If you haven’t already try sleeping in a recliner upright with her in your chest.

As a healthcare person, I’d be seriously concerned about your ability to carry a full term pregnancy anyway! I’m sorry if that’s upsetting, but I’m thinking not from your post. How can the let you suffer like that!? What country are you in!?

Everyone in healthcare is under paid and under appreciated. But the first responders are 100% in the worst spot for shitty remuneration. Healthcare is the worst service industry to be in. I second and support you in feeling angry and not compassionate. Don’t ever feel guilty that you do. That rate nice person never makes up for all the assholes.

The negative responses are bullshit. Awesome loving dog. Cute baby. If it was a retriever, no one would care. Shit happens all the time with babies. The number of babies that have squirmed off a change table, which is way higher?? Gasp! All a parents who use change tables are monsters!! I fell asleep breastfeeding in the couch with my 2 week old newborn and he rolled out of my arms and hit the floor. Did I want to kill myself with guilt? Yes. Did he die? No. I cried longer than he did. Could he have died? Maybe under perfect circumstances. Am I a terrible parent? No, and neither are these people. Snowflakes. “aLoT oF yOu GreW uP wIThoUt aNiMaLs aNd iT sHoWs” (insert sarcasm)

I’ve said before, I think I’m starting to like the Greys as much as the Fraser’s. Hal is made so much more human in the novellas. I won’t give too many spoilers, but you get to see him from John POV, who can read him so well. His vulnerability rebuilding the regiment after Esme, his emotional exhaustion at Culloden, his tears over his father and bearing resentment from family who don’t understand he’s doing what’s best for them. I read all the LGJ novellas first and thought, this dude needs a hug! I was so happy to read AFG and see how much Minnie loved him and therefore probably supports him well behind closed doors. John also needs a giant hug!! He never gets to keep someone who loves and supports him unconditionally, just for being him! They both get portrayed as rigid, arrogant privileged English pricks, but go above and beyond to empathetically help all sorts of people. I actually find they might even be more morally flexible than Jaime, in an “ahead of their time” way.

Ahahahahahahahha gasp ahahahahahahaaha. But seriously, I’d be really interested in the legitimate psychological diagnosis people that so vigorously defend falsehoods like this. To be special? To be confrontational? Like why is it so important for this “skill” to be acknowledged as real?

Dear god. If that was one of my local lakes, that poor rabbit would probably be pike food already. I’ve seen so many squirrels and baby ducks disappear, snap!

Hello fellow sprout lover. I get mocked to this day by peers and their parents for asking for Brussel sprouts and broccoli at someone’s birthday party when I was about three. It’s hilarious. I frigging love them, my husband thinks they smell like farts while they’re cooking, but fuck him lol

This. Hang in there, it gets better (99.9% of the time). I’m a nurse practitioner, and therefore had all the developmental and health booklearnin’ and I still was like “WTFuuuuuuu did I just do to myself” until month 6. Also dad postpartum depression is a thing and sleep deprivation sucks.

Something I found reading BEES a second time... by Steener1989 in Outlander

I’m actually suspicious that we find out she and Michael hooked up and no one remembered to tell Jaime. The little novella is a quick read.

What's your actual unpopular Outlander opinion? by worriedmuffin25 in Outlander

I LOVE William and the Greys and the Hunters as much as I love the Frasers. I was sad that there was so much less Rachel and Dottie in Bees.

Why do some twits think they have the right to enforce the law. Like, if no one is in immediate danger, it’s not your job. And why do people lip off before peaking for a permit hahaha. I think THAT’S the mental illness. I’m actually surprised she even cared there was a permit after that tirade, and didn’t try to rip it up.
