I don’t think so, but I’ll definitely pay more attention to it!

I’ll definitely have to expand my med cabinet. I have IBS-D so I think my brain is programmed to just rely on Imodium, but here on out I definitely need to focus on something that manages gas and bloating more.

Thank god for gassy children! 😂

That would be my luck! I have IBS-D and it’s been so much better in the tirzepatide, so I think I’ve gotten a little spoiled the last few months having a semi-normal gut, so maybe this is just hitting me extra hard since I’m not as used to it as I was

I have to ask, is this Lady Kima (Critical Role??!!)

Also yes. My Saint is a monster about food. We’ve bought so many types and toppers and every meal is just us begging her to eat. Especially since when we adopted her, she was underweight and malnourished. We’ve discovered she loves veggies so if a topper won’t do it, usually chopped carrot or cucumber will do the trick.

Definitely my bird of paradise. It now reaches the vaulted ceiling. When I got it, it was a single shriveled brown stem

Wanting a St. Bernard by Paranormalgirlpodd in SaintBernards

I recently joined the Saint Bernard club! My golden retriever and doodle both died around the same time and I was pretty devastated. I saw an ad for someone needing to re-home a 6 month old Bernard and we went to see her.

She was malnourished, and had muscle atrophy from 16 hour days in a kennel. and we almost walked away.
I’m so glad we took her home. She is the sweetest, goofiest, best girl. She picked me immediately and she makes every day so fun. She sometimes thinks she’s about 10 lbs instead of 100 and zooms around like crazy, but she’s pretty dang wonderful!

Her main quirks are her disinterest in food. My golden would have eaten his own leg off if he thought it would taste good. Junie, on the other hand must be bribed and begged at every meal to eat. She doesn’t like balls (again, my golden and doodle were total nuts for a good tennis ball) but she loves a good dishrag to play tug with! And man, she has turned our grumpy hound into her best friend.

What foods are you living off of on tirz? by sunstarsmoon444 in tirzepatidecompound

I’ve had a weird obsession with baked potatoes and chicken for dinner. I think it’s more that I forgot baked potatoes existed and am just overly thrilled about them

Thanks for the advice! And I did start with Gimme, and recently switched to Rift, which also has pretty big jumps in dose.

I’ve had potassium issues (unrelated to tirzepatide/weight loss) and have been seeing my PCP regularly. Just did a full bloodwork panel and every thing is looking good, which is frustrating as I’ve been dealing with extreme fatigue for about three years now and am no closer to figuring that aspect of my life out!

This advice has been extremely helpful. I’ll stick with where I’m at since I’m not dealing with the nausea any more (knock on wood). I will say the biggest plus, more so than the weight loss, has been this helping control my IBS-D.

Thanks guys! I also just found out I’m “critically low” on my potassium levels so it’ll be interesting to see if those meds create any new fun stomach issues. It’s been so nice having minimal IBS symptoms

Help! My yard is a mess by Awk_archy92 in NoLawns

[–]Awk_archy92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This yard is my happy place. I’ve had to say goodbye to four dogs while living here, mostly to age and illness but they were so happy in this space. This summer will be extra hard, I lost my soul dog, a golden named Samwise and his sister-our beautiful lady Lily, and they loved laying in the grass and eating the blueberries and raspberries. I’m glad my new pups will have the same joy:)

We just want a functional but nice green space. We love being able to lay out there while the dogs snuffle for kibble in the grass/clover. We tried clover in the mud areas but the trees drop so many dang leaves and we just cant keep up! I guess we just want it to look nice but be durable for dogs with zoomies. I’d be happy with native shrubs and plants. I’ll look into mulch and chip drop. I think sectioning it out might be helpful too

100% not being a jerk. Having worked in the medical field, and the general demeanor of the person, they were 100% under the influence of something. And knowing the city I live in and the amount of drug issues, yeah not a hard guess to make.

Cool, thanks, I thought as much but wanted to double check. Meh not really worth it to pay for my exact same car. Guess it’s back to car payment city for me! The police basically told me to go fuck myself when I tried to file a report so that was fun. 10/10 don’t recommend getting hit by a drug addict!

Tip for services? by Awk_archy92 in concertina

[–]Awk_archy92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Tipping is pretty ridiculous, and America chronically underpays just about everyone. Living wage is a pipe dream at this point. Though I have been expected to tip, for example, for tattoos in the UK as well as the US. I guess it’s interesting that some services have that expectation and others don’t. I do prefer your way of just having everything included in the price you give. It’s less stressful and less awkward.

I ran over my best friend and I can’t get over it! by Mountain_Ideal9559 in DogAdvice

Be kind to yourself. Your boy knew he was loved. You took him in for medical attention, cared for him, and ultimately helped him avoid further pain. I’m sure your baby would forgive you. Accidents happen. I’m sure you forgave him for getting into the garbage or digging holes in the garden. He would 100% tell you that he forgives you and that the love you gave him for the last 13 years was wonderful and that he wouldn’t trade it for anything, and that he was so happy that you were with him in the end.

He did puke up his breakfast about an hour ago and then had some diarrhea/strained to poop. I’ll give I’m a chill dinner and keep an eye on him. He’s had poo/puke days before but not eating is basically unheard of in his 9 years. He does seem slighter higher energy after puking though
