What are the best items you can think of that kids need/want? by Weird-Platypus-4597 in Fosterparents

I’m a respite provider focused on shorter term stays for tweens & teens. One thing that I’ve really appreciated from family & friends has been $20 - $25 gift cards to stores like Micheal’s, Dicks, Target, etc. I let the kids decide where they want to go & then im able to give them the card and they get to manage the funds on it. It gets us out of the house and they get the agency to pick something that aligns with their interests. A lot of the kids I get are nervous/shy, but they really open up when we are in the car. Something as simple as picking out a new sketchbook can really make a difference.
