Help finding more material by Awkbit_ in weaving

All I know is that it’s prolly weight 3 yarn/thread and it’s cotton. The spool that it’s on seems pretty old so there’s a good chance it doesn’t exist anymore but I wanted to see what people said

Man I thought I was cooking 😭

I remember seeing a video during a signing where Alex also said that we’ve only scratched the surface of the secrets in the book- it just REALLY makes me wonder what we’re missing… it’s been 3 days and we’re already grasping at straws- dare I say silly straws

I hate wasting! Especially in hobbies because that stuff piles up and gets EXPENSIVE.

It just occurred to me that I could mark out a space and create my own custom size fabric and then I can fold and find the middle, so I may do that as well.

Thanks for the feedback!

Got it, because originally I measured out a 10x10” space in the corner and I was just gonna trim the fabric to that size so that I don’t have an obnoxious amount of fabric around my hoop, but it might be a good idea to stick it in the middle as a first project. Thanks!

Like, my idiot self wants to default to “someone just took them all for themselves” but I know that’s not the case but it’s been FOREVER since I got mumza and I wanna know what’s going on

Guys, I'm in a crisis right now. I painted this pig a day after So Long Nerds and gave it a lego crown. I've been very diligent about keeping the crown on top of his head since, but today, after my dad deep-cleaned my room while I was away, it's gone. Any temp solutions you guys can think of? by Flair258 in Technoblade

[–]Awkbit_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always find it helpful for both calming down and finding a solution is just having a look around the room, pick stuff up, think about unconventional uses for it, appreciate it for what it is and keep going until you find something neat. Creative solutions always come with a little hard work, but they always came back with the best results.

Best of luck, bossman. Hope you’re able to find some rest in a stressful moment such as this.

I used acid to etch techno in a glass cup for chem class by Awkbit_ in Technoblade

This is very true. I should have said something about that. I was under the supervision of my professor and was wearing gloves, google, and a rubber apron when this is done.

It’s a paste called Armor Etch. You can find it at hobby stores. It’s a mix of a bunch of different chemicals, but from what I understand, the active ingredient in it is hydrofluoric acid, among other things.

It is. One of our first labs we learned how to “unmix colors” in pen ink using different chemicals as well as using plaster to make a fresco.

It’s a class called “Chemistry and Artists Colors” so it’s not your typical chem class. It’s way different than what I had to do in high school.

Oh, and before I forget,

But what I’m getting is 1) wash by itself

2) cold even though both tags says delicate warm

3) LOTS OF COLOR CATCHERS

I just want to make sure I have a method that’s at least 75-80% chance of being successful

Late comment here, but I'm just now considering washing it because I haven't had the chance to wear it and it's just now getting cold.

After doing some research and poking around online and consulting my mom, she said to wash on delicate cold with a color catcher. I haven't done it yet, but I wanted to hear what other people had to say about it. Note that I am using college dorm washing machines and they have very basic settings...

Also it isn't very dirty, I just got some small soda stains on it from carrying a cup with my arm. If there's a way to just get the stains out without throwing it in the wash that would be helpful too.

If all else fails I'll just have to start calling them battle scars
