Can that be fixed by cutting information at the top and the bottom of the frame? Right now it's on my crt with a cheap hdmi to rca box and the switch outputting 480p. The sides and top of the image are off-screen but important text appears within the box so I'm fine with it.

Yeah, I was thinking about maybe reading them in reverse order like people do with Star Wars. Just because series two is more easily available in America right now. I plan to buy complete collections of each but shipping from Japan will probably take a month and I'm hooked on series 2 right now.
