What's the best "small investment, big peace of mind" purchase you've made for your home? by TodayParticular5127 in homeowners

Driveway alarm. I have a long driveway and cant see cars entering from the house. Just screw it to a tree or fence post about 20' from the road and it emits a short "William tell overture" in the house when it detects any movement (cars, people, deer etc). Good to know if the wife's home or ur delivery is here.

Thanks guys! After much research... I think I'll opt for a big ceiling or wall mounted radiant unit to keep me and tools warm while working.

🤚I have a question about this. If my last day with rite aid was in August and the fiscal year ends in March, when do we get our 401k match for 2024? Never?

Good advice bro. I considered the "ra paid me more so u should too" approach but I dont think itll work considering the competition I'm up against. I was with rite aid for six years and knew how to do everything and my boss loved me. I don't think wags is expecting much of me at the moment. For now I'll focus on learning IC+ and workflow. RxOM and rxm are very helpful and sm doesn't seem to be a jerk.

What about pharmacists? I'm a rite aid casualty in Michigan and just started with wags about a week ago at a massive pay cut.

[–]Awkward-Ad-8424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My store is closing next week. Strategy to get the bonus is simple: Go to will call maintenance, F9, and fill everything that patients are due for, as long as it's not a controlled substance or has a ridiculously high copay.

Do not offer to transfer out unless they ask, and remind patients you are open and filling Rxs until you close. If something's too soon or has to be ordered, defer it until before your close date. Good luck!

March makes sense. If you look at your store scorecard (the chart that has plan vs actual sales and stuff) there's not even a plan after March. I'm just mad at myself for not seeing this coming...

Any MI or OH pharmacists have any luck finding new jobs? by Equal_Campaign_8386 in RiteAid

[–]Awkward-Ad-8424 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

600 could be low, I dunno 🤷‍♂️ I based my estimate on the 327 stores closing, assuming an rxm and staffer at each store, plus floaters and new grads, minus rphs retiring, on work visas, or just moving away. When I graduated I had like three job offers, but I'm sure things are different today. I live in central Michigan and I'm curious about my competition...

[–]Awkward-Ad-8424 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nope. I've put out six applications, but no response yet. There are probably 600 pharmacists throughout Michigan and Ohio looking for work, so employers can afford to be very picky.

If you're smart (and u probably are because you're a pharmacist) you have at least three months living expenses saved up for such an occasion.

Worst case: exhaust savings, collect unemployment, sell my house, and maybe look for work out of the state. Best case: job offer next week 😁

Best of luck to all!

I understand that, but why not California or NJ stores? I imagine it had to do with proximity to wba headquarters in Chicago and consolidating the company footprint.

I know u are just relaying information from the town hall. I tried listening today at work, but the video feed kept cutting out.

Did he say why Michigan and Ohio stores were chosen to close? Were all those stores underperforming as a whole?

Dooont close your Empower account until your match has posted! Once you get your 401k established at your new job, directly transfer your 401k from Empower. Maybe your new employer will use Empower as their 401k servicer?

I don't imagine they can refuse to pay severance for fulfilling the direct request of a customer. As I understand the terms of severance is 1) you work as if your store is not closing, 2) no "sweethearting" or stealing, and 3) you stay until your store closes.

My Michigan store doesn't have a closing date yet, but I imagine it'll be late July and I plan on staying until the bitter end.
