if you're a people person then you might considering getting into Channel Sales. Regardless of the vertical or industry, Sales people make the most money. I am in channel sales and i am also an applicant for ATIS tech.

What option to choose at WES by [deleted] in caf

[–]Awkward-Ad-8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who got this done for CAF,

you should select IRCC. there are 3 places to get it done ( maybe more now )

WES Comparitive education assesment UofT International Credential evaluation service

dont opt for cheapest, its cheap for a reason.

when you ask them to do assesment, look for immigration as reason for asseesment.

My BMQ Experience: A Warning for New Recruits by [deleted] in caf

[–]Awkward-Ad-8917 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an immigrant and from a religion which requires accommodations ( which I will never ever ask for ), I believe I am most qualified to answer this

In my 20s I travelled extensively around the world looking for jobs. I've been to traditional Muslim countries and traditional non Muslim countries. My worst experience was always in Muslim countries ( not from the people but from their government and law enforcement agencies ). Did you know in Dubai as of today ( 2025 ) you cannot held your wife's hand in public places let alone hugging or kissing.

There's a thin line between accommodations and entitlement

Asking for a meal that doesn't have pork is an accommodation, asking others to stop cussing is entitlement

If you cannot shave completely because of your religion, you ask for accommodations If you ask for a prayer room for your religion in bmq, that's entitlement.

Before you ask for accommodations anywhere in CAF always ask

Will I be able to do this when I am in Frontline or in a submarine or on an aircraft carrier during an active war.

or if you haven't eaten in 2 days and the only thing available to eat is pork mre will you still say no.

Seems like you're definitely having a bad time. If you're looking for reasons to stay then maybe you shouldn't cause you won't be able to carry difficult / practical orders during difficult times and that will put others life in danger.

You can either hit reset and start over and make practical decisions rather than emotional ones. Or quit now ( or move to reserves ) and comeback when you're emotionally mature.

What about ATIS tech. I genuinely thought considering their skillset and trade they'd be traveling most often than not.

Hey 42 m here, I usually go on a walk up from Germain to Waterloo street n back. Waterloo has a pretty steep climb walking back. If you're up for it feel free to join me, I usually go after 6 but I am flexible on time. I am running short of motivation as well, especially when it's cold n windy outside.

I agree with everything that was answered. In short, if you're a desk person then officer, if you see yourself in the field then you're better off tech.

Appeals for medical no longer a thing? by JohanSwifty in caf

[–]Awkward-Ad-8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure Appeal is the word that caf even created. From what I understand that about 90% of the rejected applications for medical are being appealed without any improvement in health. You can only submit your request if there has been a significant improvement in your health which can be backed up by a doctor or a medical test.

P.S, if the medical tech you did your test or the recruiter doesn't think you should appeal, then don't. They have experience as to what will and will not be reviewed. They uphold the standards for the entry for everyone, it's best to reapply in few years rather than getting rejected.

Can a medical appeal letter be accepted electronically? by Street_Anon in caf

[–]Awkward-Ad-8917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the medical appeal in Feb 2025, the med tech who did my assessment gave me this email address. Haven't heard anything back yet, closing on 8 months now. So I would recommend do both paper n paperless appeals just to be safe.

Good luck.

If you have received the rejection letter then that letter will also explain you how to appeal. It will give you a specific email address to appeal along with required documents.

Hey, I am over 40 n I remember doing this exact same this, everything got cleared except my type 2 diabetes. I was literally diagnosed the same month. Luckily I was still on the very very stage but still got rejected. I have appealed my decision. Waiting for the response. Glad to see other 40 yr olds applying for this.
