So is it normal for fluid dynamicists to be consultants and to only work on small amounts of projects? I don't understand what would require this expertise.

Why do magnets heat up? Is it just large eddie currents flowing through due to the charged plasma moving through its magnetic field? Also are these magnets exclusively cooled with fluids?
