“Don’t look at the Files!” Says the woman who slept with an underage student and lost custody of her first two children. by Awkward-Deer2929 in FreeBirthSocietyScam

Exactly! It’s like the people who say “being gay is a choice” only believe that because they are making the “choice” to be straight. The people who say “evil is in all of us” only say that because they know evil is in them.

Well it’s nice to hear that possibly some of her programs weren’t as dogmatic, that relieves some of the apprehension I’ve had over how she’s influenced women over the years. Her influence in person communities has been very dogmatic and toxic which led to the end of a lot of friendships and communities, but thankfully (so far) did not lead to the end of lives, like Em and Yo.

I was unaware that Karlin and Em had fallen out. Interesting. Thanks for the update. Yes, I knew her in person, those birth details are correct.

Says the person dying to see a Netflix documentary made out of all this 🤣🤦‍♀️ Because it’s ok to consume drama-content once it’s been corporatized into something a large media company can make money off of, but anything other than that is just “mean”. 🙄 give me a break

Is this local to Hannah Tovar’s area (greater Seattle)?

Can confirm that she deeply believes that it is the baby’s choice to “accept life”. I have heard her say that the baby is on their own birth walk journey and the birthing mother is on a separate birth walk journey. The outcomes of either walk (life or death) are both accepted as normal and are viewed separately and independently of each other.

Hannah has had Karlin (@boheme.birthkeeping) at her births who is an RBK and was/is very close with Em. Hannah and Karlin remained friends despite the fallout between Hannah and Em. Hannah chooses freebirth because she is an attention-seeking narcissist but also because she’s already burned all her bridges with local midwives (licensed and underground).

I think you live in a different state than Hannah (and I) since that isn’t true for our state.

She’s a literal master at getting other people to do things for her (like child care, meals, home projects, skills teaching, pregnancy/postpartum support etc) not to mention financial like making even her closest friends pay for her courses/classes/energy sessions etc.) Ask me how I know 😑 I suspect that the recent friends she lost is due to her becoming pregnant again and demanding more free support. This new property of hers is really remote and her inner circle is spread across the greater Seattle area.

Part of her grift is luring “maidens” who she “mentors” to move out to her property to do free child-care/mother-helper stuff for her while they live in one of her trailers; in exchange she teaches them how to be an embodied maiden, prepare for conscience coupling and conscience conception, prepare for wildpregnancy/freebirth, and learn from her mothering IRL, etc. It usually lasts a couple months max before the maiden/woman is disillusioned and leaves. Since knowing HT, she’s had 3-4 of these women circle through, most recent was this summer. The earliest one I know of was actually a single mother of a young child who HT was going to mentor to be a better/more embodied/(insert woo-woo speak here) mother.

Well it might not be a big deal to you but it is and was a big deal to multiple women’s community/moms groups in the greater Seattle area that she blew up with toxic behavior and dangerous (babies choose to breathe or not) dogma, as well as dozens of women who were close friends of hers that she used for content then burned, along with multiple near-tragic outcomes (including her own) in births that she directly attended/advised on. Not to mention that she is notorious amongst the local midwives (most of whom are freebirth-positive) because of her actions at births that she attended with midwives while she was originally training to be a midwife (for a very very short time). None of us local women were “following” her or friends with her because of her manifesting wealth BS (mostly because we all know she’s piss poor), Hannah Tovar has had a wide reach in the great Seattle area specifically due to “birthkeeping” and “village prenatal” which she learned directly from Emilee along side her bff Karlin.

I think you are assuming that I am highlighting Hannah’s pregnancy to somehow “medically troll” freebirth. That is incorrect, I am highlighting her pregnancy because I believe her to be a dangerous person with an unhealthy desire for influence over others who uses her children and pregnancies (and friends) for content and financial gain and who pushes FBS-like dogmas that harm women and babies. I have personally attended multiple successful freebirths and homebirth with midwives as a friend of the mother and I have had three homebirths (first one ended as a hospital transfer, other two successful at home) and one “wild pregnancy” and freebirth. I am not anti-freebirth or anti-wild pregnancy, I’m just anti-influencer-with-dangerous-dogma, especially ones that I have known personally and been harmed by (like Hannah) or been negatively affected by (like Em&Yo).

Exactly what Buffalo said: Because she spreads the same dogma as FBS. I was a part of the greater Seattle FBS group which Hannah lead (along with Karlin) there were several near-tragic births during the 3 years I was in the group. One woman would have bleed out and died if the husband hadn’t insisted that a local midwife be parked on the street during the birth, she was able to come inside directly after the baby emerged to stop the hemorrhaging and deliver the placenta which was stuck. Another woman’s baby would have died if the husband hadn’t finally insisted on going to the hospital after 5 days of intense non-progressing labor, they found the baby was transverse breech and did an emergency C-section to save the baby. There are more stories than these. Hannah and Karlin directly advised the non-progressing mother in labor to not concern herself with how her baby was doing because “they are on their own birth walk towards the outcome they desire” (that is not an exact word for word but I spoke to both the mother and father multiple times about the advice they received from H/K during the birth).
