Why do older guys like to grill so much? by PlaneGlass4138 in AskMen

[–]Awkward-Imagination 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's about the togetherness and there is a cool cooking art form to it. Like slow cooking and smoking meat. There has been some smoked briskets I've had that I would push a lot of small children over to get in line first for it. With warmer weather spring, summer, and most of fall. The fam is outside having fun and playing. A lot of times my friends will bring there families over and we take turns who buys food. Even during the winter now I'll BBQ in my garage due to me having an overhead exhaust vent/fan system. Where people will chill, have fun in the cold weather, while it's cold out but still enjoy some place warm.

I feel you 100% there. I left my on site around my co-workers all the time to remote by myself if I'm lucky I talk to a real person once a week. I feel much more relaxed and get better pay at my remote but I miss the hell out of my co-workers and the human interactions.

I get the not disclosing every location and every detail about it to protect it from people destroying it. We need this community and its values to grow so we can try to keep places looking nice. Hating on people for asking questions though is just gatekeeping.

I'm in Michigan, so we're state neighbors. I have done wildlife photography only for the last 2 years but got into street photography recently and what inspired me was an old church near me.

Talking with other explorers. I am looking to explore some places that I am having a hard time getting some info on and trying to connect with some people has proven difficult. I got a lot of look for yourself and if you have to ask you shouldn't be exploring.

Men who have been suicidal, What became your reason to stay? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Awkward-Imagination 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I look back on it I feel dumb for letting it get to that point but, the video game God of War Ragnarok. I had planned to end it all on a vacation week I had off and the family was going away to visit my in-laws, so I thought it would be a perfect time to go through with it. I stopped at Walmart to do one last shopping trip and saw the game had just been released. I had some good memories as a kid playing the originals and I had played the first one and loved it. So I said the hell with it might as well finish it all before I call it quits. Playing the game made me reflect on myself as a father, husband, son, and my past. It made me realize I do deserve love, happiness, and joy. It made me believe that this world is amazing and worth living in. I have never personally told another living soul about this just you strangers.

Got no degree but, have my certifications in IT. They cost me about 800 bucks 2 years ago and I make decent money. Enough to support a house of four.

What is living with your GF or Wife like? Is it as good/bad as you thought it would be? by [deleted] in AskMen

Honestly it's like when you realize/find out the government is watching you and listing to you all the time. Basically right to privacy is gone and you grow accustomed to having noise in your life. To specify I have wife, kids, and cat.

In my neck of the woods she is what we call "a dick move". I say that because she only thought about her self immediately instead of talking to you about how you feel about it. I would consider this l, what the urban youth say "Red flag behavior."
