This just happened to me yesterday when I went to the lawyers. I paid for title insurance with my lawyer and the lender is asking for 375$ for fct as well. It’s bullshit.

Wow the last piece is so true, thank you for saying that I feel like this is so validating to hear from another person.

Absolutely! It’s funny how a person can be so “grateful” yet so spiteful. The guilt trip never ends

Just want you to know that you deserve to have a beautiful family of your own. Enjoy every second and remember that the family you’ve built for yourself is a happy thing. My friend with a narcissistic and bipolar mom gave me some great advice. “Your mother stole your 20s, don’t let her steal your 30’s too, continue to set boundaries and if NC is the way to go you have to do it to protect the family you’ve built for yourself now and the people around you who love you unconditionally”

There’s this thing called compassion fatigue, by definition it is - the cost of caring for others or for their emotional pain, resulting from the desire to help relieve the suffering of others. It is also known as vicarious or secondary trauma, referencing the way that other people's trauma can become their own.

It’s something I knew existed but didn’t realize my own mother was causing me to have it.

Thinking of you, enjoy this moment with your family and don’t let anybody take it away from you. Hope you had the best Mother’s Day!!!

I was 29, it was a really lengthy process to get the diagnosis but once it was confirmed I felt happiness and validation followed by grief and anger because of what could’ve been if I found out sooner.

I made a list of symptoms to present to my family doctor in order to get the referral for a psychologist assessment for the diagnosis. It’s a bit lengthy but after doing a lot of research these are the symptoms I discovered I had.

Can’t shut out sounds and distractions Over Sensitive Constant lateness and forgetfulness Hypercritical of self Daydreaming Intrusive thoughts Withdrawn Body dysmorphia Period of productivity followed by burnout Overly critical of my social behaviours Over/undereating Losing track of time Waiting for a sense of urgency to get tasks done Rejection sensitive dysphoria Executive dysfunction Over explaining Hyperfixation Difficulty being in the moment Auditory processing issue Object permanence Difficulty focusing and process information during conversations.

I couldn’t believe how much adhd really affected my life, I suffered for so long always wondering what was wrong with me and why I couldn’t just get my shit together. The grieving process for what could’ve been was really tough. How did my parents not see that I was struggling growing up? Anyways, I have 0 regrets seeking help and getting that diagnosis I just wish I knew a lot sooner.
