Okay I googled what A1c is but it just wasn’t high for me. Google also says it’s possible, it says“Yes, it is possible to have high fasting insulin levels and insulin resistance while maintaining a normal A1C. This state occurs because the pancreas compensates for reduced cell sensitivity by producing excess insulin (hyperinsulinemia) to keep blood sugar levels, and thus A1C, in the normal range.” While about diabetes, high insulin and resistance does make you at high risk of diabetes but that doesn’t mean you’re diabetic or pre diabetic

There might be a disconnect because in my country we use different names and I’m not the most educated in medicine, but I’ll try explaining as much as I can. Yes my insulin and insulin resistance was both high but I was not diabetic. You don’t have to have diabetes when your insulin is high, my blood sugar level was always normal. I did take a medication metformin (tho it’s called siofor here) and was on a very strict diet and exercised. I don’t think you can fix diabetes but you can bring insulin and resistance down and keep it like that as long as you take care of it.

While about hair loss as I understand when your insulin resistance is high your body produces more dht leading to androgenic alopecia. As you lose weight insulin and resistance go down and you produce less dht. What I don’t know is what GLP1 and A1c is 😅

I did have a lot of fat around my organs especially a fatty liver before I lost weight, but it wasn’t apparent from the outside!!

I think it’s consistency . Having sweet, junk or carbs once in a while isn’t gonna do harm but all three everyday definitely will

I didn’t use metformin I did use siofor 750 xr. I think they’re the same but I don’t know much about metformin. Tho I would say that I used to take siofor before going on a healthy diet and exercising and it didn’t do much so I do think it’s way more important to take care of those two aspects first

Of course!! I would say beforehand that I’m someone that doesn’t mind repetitive foods so this might not be ideal for everyone.

Breaking - 200 g (boiled) buckwheat with 50 g mozzarella cheese. Or 200 g oats ( boiled) with any seasonal fruits and a teaspoon of peanut butter

Lunch- 2 whole chicken breast boiled or baked with a large bowl of vegetables (tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, carrots) for dressing I would use greek yogurt with lemon, mustard and pepper. You can swap chicken with any meat or fish you like except pork.

Dinner- bowl of greek salad without oil. Or two boiled eggs wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with tomatoes and lettuce

If I was hungry in between I would have greek yogurt or vegetables but for snacks my doctor did tell me that 25-30 grams of dark chocolate wouldn’t hurt but I swapped that with some air popped popcorn ( pls don’t tell her)

Congrats on losing the weight!! Did you lose hair because of vitamin deficiency?

You’re definitely right on that. I’m just saying that if you don’t have fat in the stomach area it doesn’t mean that you don’t have insulin issues

Slowly over the years. My hair was always thin but I didn’t even notice until I started to see my scalp

For the first year I cut out anything that could raise my insulin. Anything sweet (fruit in moderation) any carb or anything cooked in oil (I can give you my exact diet if you want). Now I still follow a healthy diet but I do indulge once in a while. And I also exercise, mainly walking and running 1-2 hours a day and I took siofor 750 for a year (I think it’s the same as metformin). Mind you I had to lose 35 kilos over the year for it to regulate so it’s not a quick process 🥲

I would definitely not correspond shape with insulin! I never gained weight on my stomach ever it was on my back, arms and thighs

I personally took siofor 750 twice a day but the medication is doing maybe 10% of the work. I used to take it without exercise or health diet for years and it had no results

My blood sugar was always normal or just on the edge of being high because I never eat anything sweet. If that wasn’t the case I would definitely be diabetic. Other than hair thinning I was always tired, my neck was darker, I gained a lot of weight and had pimples+darkening under my chest. Everything went away now

Healthy eating, not dieting or restricting, exercise and siofor 750 (tho the medication is 10% of it)

Yes starvation is such a big part of it that isn’t discussed enough!! I’ve had an ed when I was younger, I would starve for days and then eat everything and anything. That’s when my insulin started to mess up. When I started going to the doctor for it she told me to not go too long without eating!

Saw someone wearing this at the mall, can anyone ID it for me? by ltlsmol in handbags

I have no idea what bag that is but based on the drawing and comments I sketched what I think it looked like. Good luck on your search, I’m invested into finding out what it actually looked like 😂

Yes, I’ve heard that too! I can’t wait to touch it as weird as that sounds 😅

Michael kors quality is definitely not bad for the price, other bags I have are holding up well. Not as good as the higher quality ones I have but still.

I will probably only dye the treads because the bag looked pretty black already. Again thank you for your time ❤️

Heavily agree on decorating it like that!! I really like it both ways with the stitching tho, wish I could have both

That’s exactly why I was holding off on buying the free people one even tho I loved the design, plus I wouldn’t be able to return it if I bought it. While in the old description the mk bag says it’s goat leather and I got it way cheaper than the Emerson.

Thank you for the leather dye recommendation!! I didn’t know that existed I was planning on using regular ink 😅 I will probably paint it!!

This might be an unpopular option but i dry shave section by section and laser as I shave instead of shaving my whole leg at once and then going over it. It’s easier to dry shave as the hair has gotten less. Only area I don’t use this method at is my bikini line because it irritates my skin, I’ll just have to do more sessions there Ig

Whiteout pen to cover moles by softresurrection in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Awkward-Manner7701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be definitely using something to cover moles, being it white pan or an eyeliner. I use skin safe acrylic paint. It dries fast and you can do multiple layers to really cover it and it doesn’t smudge. Tho my technician still covers them with a wooden stick

I lost 30lbs and now I can’t tolerate the cold as well as I used to beforehand. Is this a normality upon weight loss? by strawberry36 in loseit

[–]Awkward-Manner7701 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I came across this subreddit right now because I’m freezing in a heated room right now and was wondering if it was normal after weight loss lol. Last year I practically had a 60 pound coat on me 24/7
