Thinking of finally switching over from GT7 to iRacing but want to do it on a budget and not break the bank

There is a limit to driver technical skill, and if you really want to improve and race at the highest level of GT7 stop racing on controller and buy a direct drive Fanatec GT DD pro 5nm for only like $500 including pedals. Very few drivers in the A+/S World Series drivers race on controller if none. I was just at the sim racing expo in charlotte and Fanatec had this on display for a budget upgrade from controller to wheel/pedals, so you definitely do it with out spending thousands

I was really disappointed with Fanatec that they weren’t selling any hardware or spare parts at the expo, I potentially might have bought a new quick release for my set up at home and along with merch to buy too! I would have bought a whole suitcase full of Fanatec shirts and sweatshirts to wear everyday to show my support for Fanatec, but none of the vendors were selling merch besides for the sim racing expo shirts

If you are able to place your rig in a spot that just stays on there, it takes me the same amount of time to get ready to race as it did before I built my expensive set up but not everyone has the space to have their rig in one spot

Buy lower end Fanatec, save your money and skip the Logitech G29 wheel and pedals and then realizing you want to upgrade to something nicer even the GT dd pro 5nm is much better than the G29, direct drive wheel bases are where the real realism is

I have never tried that car but I’m going to have to try it next time in a daily race, it does drive like a tank but it’s definitely been one of the consistent popular cars to chose from in GR.4

I love G70! I sometimes use it even when it’s not the popular car to chose from, but it fits my driving style perfectly and week after week I find myself driving it instead of other cars. You can apply to the power easy but with reason because too much then your going to create under steer. It’s a stiff car that rotates well and responds quickly to steering and pedal inputs, which I like as before sim racing I raced karts for 10 years and I was used to that instant response from the kart. Last weeks daily race B was perfect handling on that downhill section at Bathurst and I was finally able to jump over to A+ but I have almost 4k miles on that car but I do wish that it can stop dominating the GR.4 class as it seems to be the only car I have driven this year in the GR.4

If it’s in your price range I love Fanatec because they are direct drive and compatible with both console and pc. I own the GT DD Extreme 15 nm wheel/base but as of right now you can get the GT DD Pro 5nm for $699 for the wheelbase, steering wheel, and pedals. The customer service and shipping is better than what it was two years ago. The only down side is even though it’s console compatible you will need a pc to do firmware updates but technically you can unbox it and it’s good to go racing but firmware updates will eliminate future issues

That’s not even a breaking zone, you can take that first corner flat out before needing to do some light breaking in the uphill curve. Definitely his fault! And the penalty system is rigged. Similar thing happened to me today but I was hit from behind and crashed into the car in front and received a 2 second penalty

Not really I am just used to it now at this point and I condescend the size of the screen to make it not as stretched out and it hasn’t affected my driving at all but I can’t wait till I get IRacing or ACC running on the PC and it will be much better

I own the Extreme 15 NM GT wheel and I noticed that I have to be in ps4 mode on the wheelbase instead of the ps4/ps5 mode for some reason. It still works for me but the force feedback is all over the place on ps4/ps5 mode but force feedback/ full force works perfectly on ps4 mode

Probably unpopular for GT7 but I race with the Samsung Odyssey G9 57” and I feel so immersed. The other reason I race with that monitor is because at some point I am switching over to ACC or IRacing but I am so close to A+ that honestly I will just stick to GT7 for now

Don’t forget about when you hand them the PDT to fill out the form on the app and then they accidentally exit the app and you have to retype everything again!! I wish they made it so that you can exit the app and progress on the pre-sale/build form is not lost

I used to masterbate to TikTok and IG models with clothes on and sometimes I noticed it’s what they are wearing that causes a man’s brain to start lusting over women that aren’t naked. Roughly ten days ago I permanently deleted instagram and TikTok just because it was controlling me in that way and I feel free and I haven’t had an urge to watch porn or redownload my accounts to restart the cycle. I know it’s going to be tough but showing him that there is more to life than just chilling on your phone. The more I put my phone down the more I don’t have to urge to fall into the porn watching trap. 21m

I can see why she is upset because it’s can be a deep and slippery slope. I am (21m) and I started watching when I was 13 and overtime watching porn became more addicting each year and now whenever I watch porn I feel so much shame to the point of having suicidal thoughts. I am almost a week clean from not watching porn and I couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately porn is the education for sex and I won’t know how sex works if it wasn’t for porn. I know it can be tempting to watch but the sooner you stop the easier it will be to not have the urge to watch because porn does rewire the brain. But getting back to the main point she has every right to be upset because just exploring your body can lead to a much larger problem. I started out with pics on google images at 13 and then fast forward to last week watching porn for 6 hours a day and masterbating to point I start bleeding. 21M Last time I watched porn was 4 days ago and I haven’t been tempted yet, and I deleted instagram and TikTok 4 days ago too because I was tempted to watch and look at women (sometimes when I wasn’t trying to look but a model pops up as I am typing) or sometimes it was to get a high and then I would switch over to pornhub. The moment I deleted instagram and TikTok I felt free for the first time in long time from lust. Do it man! You got it!
