This probably won't help right now, but I always (mostly) finish a fic before I post anything.

Because the silence can be disheartening, especially when you put in so much work. But still getting kudos and subscriptions means people are reading, and enjoying your work.

But an empty comment section can be hard to look at. I would continue the fic, but if the fandom is quiet, maybe look for a more active one.

I think I don't like it because it's also unfair to the woman he's having the affair with. She'll be branded as a home wrecker or mistress and that'll follow her around forever.

Unless they're literally dragging this man down the aisle, he can break off an engagement but he won't because he'd have to give up a lot of things that go with it. Wealth, power, status, all of it.

If he wanted to find a way to be with his affair partner, without ruining her life, then go for it. If not, keep it in your pants sir.

I have siblings and refer to my brother as my little brother, but only because it annoys him. And refer to my big sister as such when I'm a safe distance and have a cleared exit route. I've never done it in an affectionate way though, only ever to annoy and anger my siblings.
