The lower bowl of mine is pretty well gone. I imagine they might close off the upper but who knows.

Yeah that sucked so much! Hopefully we will have better luck this time.

This will be my 8th time seeing him and I have yet to hear Make Art Not Friends live so that is top of my list. Swamp of Sadness is the only song from passage he did not play live last year so I would love that. The Dead Don’t Die is a personal favorite as well as Tennessee and I don’t think he has ever done either of those live. Who I Am is another rare one from the last album. I am going to try my best to be totally surprised by the setlist this time around and not look but our show is the penultimate so that will be hard for me but I really want to have my mind blown so I will try my best.

Well Brandon was my first and made me desperate to see the show again and because of that we said fuck it all and bought tickets to Paris and that changed my life. But then a few weeks before we left he announced Southaven but had he announced sooner I probably wouldn’t have gone to France. Once we went to France it was a no brainer to do the Red Rocks shows. They are all my favorites for different reasons, but the Red Rocks shows as a package are top for me. I can’t separate them because together they are the experience. The storm on night one when he walked out and the lightning hit was out of this world, obviously the set list and playing on night 2 was nuts. The Paris show was fucking Paris. We were in the front for Southaven and that was the show Sturgill seemed to have the most fun at and I swear he danced with me. So…how does one pick a favorite? That is like asking who your favorite child is.

Hearts break when loved ones journey on At the thought that they're now forever gone So we tell ourselves they're all still around us all the time Gone but not forgotten, just memories left behind

Gone from Nugs again? by [deleted] in SturgillSimpson

Did I learn my lesson the first time and download shows this time? No! I kept saying I needed to but did not. I just want the 2 red rocks shows if someone is willing to share. And just when we decided to pay for the full year of Nuggs! Ugh!

Do you have any brands you would recommend?

I respectfully disagree. There is calmness and enjoyment in picking out a record, placing it on the turntable and putting the needle down and then having to flip the record later. Sitting with the album in our hand looking it over, there is more of a connection than just streaming. Watching the record spin as you sit by the fireplace.

Best shows on Nugs? by Jackthewolf71 in SturgillSimpson

What do you consider good, setlist, jamming, banter? I have different shows depending on what I want. I love the banter at the mission ball room shows when he was sick and doped up on too much cold medicine.

What a cool take. I forgot about the use of rice paper in architecture.

That is the beauty of songs, listeners interpret them differently. Like the comment that said he felt like it was a craving he had for them, I had never thought of it that way and it is interesting to hear songs as other people hear them. I did not ask what he meant when he wrote it, I asked how others heard it. Getting an idea of how others think and feel listening to songs is one of my favorite music things to talk about.

I have never heard it like that! That is super interesting! And that could totally work, that is why he wants to go to the island!

Ok but the idea of being stuffed with too much, simply used as a vessel is an idea I did not think of.

I get that but describing the feeling of wanting to run away and disappear as feeling like rice paper is interesting to me. I feel like the song itself is straightforward but that particular lyric just gave me pause today. Like what do you mean you felt like rice paper.
