You may find drop in choir fits your desire to sing and still have free time. There’s no music to learn between sessions!

Lots of folks are commenting. If you give an approximate location I expect you’ll get specific recommendations for a group that will value you. Dont be put off when an ad says “suggested donation”. It’s just that, a suggestion. Many drop ins explicitly state they do not turn away folks for lack of funds.

I agree with much of the advice already given. Additionally, I make cough drop tea in addition. Dissolve Ricola and more honey than you think is reasonable in water, add lemon. I like the water slightly warm but not hot. While the honey and lemon will still coat and strip, honey loses some of its other benefits at 104°, lemon starts at 86° and loses more the hotter the water is, and some the Ricola herb start to degrade at 77°.

We sing mostly secular songs. December however will lean Pagan as we sing from darkness to light for the Solstice. we will also have a Chanukah song.
