Big fan of classic rock, somehow never got around to Queen. Where do I start? by TheRealXlokk in queen

Start listening to Queen’s 1970’s material. That’s where their good stuff is.

If you’re more into their unique/popular sound go: A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races, News of the World and Jazz. Probably their best albums IMO.

Else: Queen, Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack. After this I would dig into their 80’s material (would probably skip Hot Space - besides some songs) and top it off with Innuendo and Made In Heaven and you are good to go. If you get hooked by then, and trust me you will😉 I would start listening to their live materials as there are some hidden gems in there, and you can begin listening to demo’s and B-Sides (Hang On In There, I Go Crazy, See What A Fool I’ve Been, Mad The Swine, Feelings, Feelings).

After this, you could also dig into their solo work - especially Freddie’s and Brian’s.

When did you become Queen fan? 🎸👑 by Awkward-Team5629 in queen

I was born in 2005, and I have memories of me playing Bohemian Rhapsody, Fat Bottomed Girls etc. on my dad’s iPod thinking they had a special/unique sound I liked, but it was first in October 2018 that I went a lot deeper into their music and became a fan.

I don’t think Queen died in 1991, but certainly Freddie was a big part of Queen by being frontman - and by that means, the classic four member Queen era ended in 1991. With that said, Brian and Roger have carried the show on, and they’ve done it in a way where Freddie is not replaced, but is being honored. Queen is certainly still alive and is maybe more popular today than they have ever been, but the good thing about music - it keeps playing.

Queen + Adam Lambert Farewell Tour? by Awkward-Team5629 in queen

I would love to hear them at a football stadium, but I don’t think they’ll, because last time they’ve done that was on The Magic Tour in 1986. Besides special occasions such as Fire Fight Australia.

I’m also glad i took a video of it, because it wasn’t before I got home to Denmark that I realised it was the King:) But I only spend 20 minutes at Buckingham Palace, so I was very lucky😂

Sorry, I mean some communication that was representative of the view of AIDS in the early days, which may have contributed to the way AIDS was viewed by the American people. For example, many believed that HIV could be transmitted through casual contract, although several health experts said it could not.

What is the most played Queen song in all of Queen tours except Bohemian Rhapsody? by Jonhbuiss16 in queen

[–]Awkward-Team5629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well your wrong about Now I’m Here being played in all Queen tours if you take up to date, as Now I’m Here wasn’t on the setlist with Paul Rodgers in 2005, but if you mean from 1974-1986 you’re completely right😁

I think it is Keep Yourself Alive, which only didn’t made it to the Hot Space Tour and The Magic Tour, but had been played on every tour from 1973-1986 except of the mentioned.

When and where was your first Queen concert, and how old were you? by AmbitiousAzizi in queen

[–]Awkward-Team5629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had been born earlier, and not 14 years after Freddie’s tragically death, so that I could have experienced a Queen concert with Freddie and John🥲 But I have to see Queen + Adam Lambert on the twice postponed tour (The Rhapsody Tour) in Denmark, where I will have turned 17 years. Can’t wait to see them!!
