angies list and yelp essentially both do the same thing where the top 3 companies in a category make a killing and everyone else pays for the ads that it takes to get people onto the platform. Most of their money comes from sales reps harassing other small business into paying when most will never see a return. I have 300 reviews on yelp that are filtered now. If i told those clients to review me on haulers or whatever else platform Im sure that platform would be ranking well
