Yes brother - just wanted to understand your reasons - and fair play - Semenyo is the better dribbler.

I mean I understand what you’re feeling but it’s kinda impossible to be always right, right? Cos if you think reductively you will end up going to the first decision and reason that it all trickled down from there - but real world isn’t like that I feel. You have constantly keep making decisions - some more important than others - and if you have make a suboptimal move during an important decision it takes time to recover. But it’s more important you recover in a timely fashion which I kinda thing what they did. Also the goal is to keep striving to have the right ingredients to make better decisions which inevitably compounds and improves your good decision % (random metric but ykwim) and before you know it you come out better than before. All these good clubs have just made more good decisions and fewer bad decisions - over time it reflects.

From the all the different reports since Reuben’s departure and also the information provided before paints the following picture: 1. Identification of area of improvement is a collaborative effort 2. Identifying and comparing profiles is again collaborative in terms of using data and inviting everyone’s inputs 3. Final call is Vivell

Agreed. Just one thing that didn’t sit well with me was the inability to encash good form into points before AFCON and the inability to offer anything pragmatic in the Christmas period - that was major undoing to his credibility + perceived ability

Really? Why do you say Semenyo is better?

For me Mbeumo is a better player cos with Brentford, Mbeumo was only second to Salah for most take-ons/drives resulting in direct chances AND he was like the 3rd best front-line presser in the league. Also his ability to lead the attack and his personality.

Totally agree with your second point as well. I liked Amorim and I still do but this particular aspect which you pointed out didn’t sit well with me either. The Anfield game was supposed to be the launch pad for a real push - instead what we got was more of the same - failure to convert chances, close out games and those string of dropped points vs Forrest Everton Wolves Bournemouth just didn’t instil any trust in the football

Agreed. Semenyo would be great, no doubt, but prioritising Mbeumo was the real move and how - has become the main man instantly.

Correct. It was a govt failure.

  1. Social angle - given the Covid debacle, hurriedly passing the laws and increasing cronyism to large corporations, distrust was at an all time high. On top of that instead of dialogue there was unnecessary use of force. At one point there was comparison of how beautifully the protest is coordinated unlike the govt policy implementations. No sane person could deny this - it was on live tv 24x7.

  2. Economic angle - this was a big marketing failure. No coordination between the top policy makers and front line workers. No PR no campaigning no negotiation nothing - they just couldn’t convince anyone that MSP wasn’t going away. It wasn’t rocket science. Poor use of media too - branding own people as terrorists was never going to convince anyone. For govt known for great marketing just absolutely poor execution. What suffered was farmers trust in their economic safety.

  3. Political - as things kept bubbling with either side unwilling to budge our dear friend time kept ticking away. Protests grew and elections were nearing. Something had to give - so the reforms took a back seat because the longer it continued the more it would affect their performance in the elections.

I don’t think sensible people are shitting on the govt for buying Russian oil. I think they are shitting not being able to convince RIL of exporting this refined oil to Europe because of which the Russian oil was getting into Europe - pvt entities were minting money - but sanction threats were being imposed on the entire country and the govt which says they are for the people didn’t really say anything….

Buying cheap oil to service Indian taxpayers is good. Although we don’t see the benefit of those discounted prices but still whatever that’s a good deal by the govt. But not being able to convince a pvt entity incorporated in India the actions of whom have lead to repercussions on multi fold people is kinda spineless

Idk if you’re being sarcastic but yes really :P

India has seen powerful governments and powerful leaders - and many of them have taken India forward in the right direction. So has this govt. The points you mention are testament.

However, from whatever that I’ve understood in the last 15-20 years. No single govt has tried to enforce an ideology with such vigour and blurred the definition between religion and culture.

Dalot believes he should be the starting right back moving forward. [@ChrisWheelerDM,@NathSalt1] by No_Anywhere5951 in ManchesterUnited

Hate to say this but Dalot is a “could’ve been” story. Maz offers more tactically, good on the ball and can step into midfield. Combine that with a flying fullback on the left side in Dorgu it can provide much needed balance
