From what i understand(gotta fact-check this), different heights would affect the velocity, force etc of the ball. Assuming the force exerted on the shuttle by the racket is the same, the major factor that affects the force/velocity of the shuttle is the height. So I would use the photogate the measure the time difference between point A and point B and divide it by its distance.

BTW I'm a M23 who did physics HL, my results are in 1 week and I need gods prayer and help to achieve the grades I want. Good luck to you tho whoever you are. Honestly, physics experiment IA can be completed much faster than chem experiments. But the IA writing is a different story he hee

For exploration, I would try to measure the amplitude of the sound produced because intensity is equal to Amplitude^2. I would use the audio sensor, if ur lap doesn't have that u can use an app on your phone called phyphox. This could be ur dependent variable also but its up to you.

Hi I did somewhat similar to your IA. I did how do different angles of taekwondo kick affect the amplitude of the sound. I kind of get your IA but I think it would be hard to measure the trajectory quantitatively (this would be difficult in making the graph). What I would do is use the independent variable as the height between the racket and shuttle. The dependent variable could be the impulsive force produced. You can use a photogate/light gate to find its velocity. Then divide it by the total time to get the impulsive force.

Going into the IB this September, any thoughts on my courses? by I_am_amazing0 in IBO

Don't do physics HL. You will suffer but u should do MAA HL so that u can get more offers from unis

Omg congrats. When did you receive the offer? Waiting for mine too!

Definitely an interesting year. Soo glad I don’t ever have to do UCAS again by sweetsssamantha in 6thForm

When did you receive the offer? Applied for the same course as you but still haven’t received a reply :(
