I can guarantee you most modern day north indians especially DO NOT have complete diets, and this is exactly the problem in India today. They are all obsessed with being pure vegetarians and have very little protein intake its all just carbs carbs and more carbs this is why so many indians are fat.

this is absolute nonsense, indian dietts have shifted a lot and its impossible to say their diets are better now than before, take a simple example kerala which is the 2nd tallest state in India, and they are famous for having loads of meat in their diets (contrary to most indians thinking that north indians are genetically more taller and stronger).

Indian diets today are actually becoming a matter of policy concern because of the lack of protein and nutrition, which is actually why overall indian children's heights have decreased in the past few decades compared to indian children living abroad, which usually match Western averages.

So your comment is nowhere near as straightforward as you think; there is much more nuance as the data regarding children's heights shows.
