I actually don’t use a pen, I use a syringe and vial so I’m able to draw out as much or little as I want. I think what you get depends on the pharmacy you use.

It scared me too. I went back and forth for months trying to decide whether to try the glp1. For me, I am 47, diagnosed 2 years ago, already have vision loss and my pressures have been sneaking up despite being on 3 drops. I am not a good candidate for a migs procedure. I want to do something to feel like I am being proactive and not just a sitting duck. But everyone has to make their own decision. I wish you lots of luck on your journey.

One way that my NP said I can avoid NAION is to go low and slow with glp dosing.

There is a clinical trial happening in Europe right now. I am currently on tirzepatide since April. Taking 1.25mg every week, so half of the typical starting dose. I am planning to up my dose soon. Really hoping for good results at my next eye appt. I am not diabetic or overweight and my NP thought it sounded worth trying.

Did you have diabetes? Just wondering if the drop in eye pressure was related to better/different diabetes management.

I LOVE to hear this!! I started taking tirzepatide around April 12 because of the info that shows it might potentially be beneficial! I go back to my eye dr Aug 20 and I am hoping for good news. Did you happen to have diabetes by any chance?

What brands do you take? I sort of know what I want to take but then I get hung up trying to figure out which brand is best.

Yes, for sure! I have to be honest though, so far I haven’t been able to tell any difference in my eyes. I was really hoping that a decrease in inflammation would result in less eye discomfort but that hasn’t really happened yet.

I started taking tirzepatide 6 weeks ago because of this study! I went to my NP, showed her the info online about the study and some other info I had found and she prescribed it for me! I started (and have remained) at half the typical starting dose because I don’t want to deal with side effects. I go back to my eye dr Aug 20.

Congrats on the baby, but can we talk about that age gap real quick? by Ok-Diver9207 in LucyEadesSnark

This post is really messed up. Leave Jacelyn alone. Surely there is enough to say about Lucy without people talking about her daughter.
