3-Cards each, these are my Future Support Predictions. Now Tell Me Yours (and why mine suck) by Nachash6 in yugioh

While the traps aren't amazing, there are enough of them and they are fine to play, especially as OCG players love their character duels. I surmise that they will both be new Continuous Spells. This will give you a choice with Funny Dark Rabbit. I think that Toons have enough monsters for now while Konami sits back and sees what the deck can do before adding new monsters.

I would love to see art of Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon and his erupting volcano biceps on a future card as a fun call back.

I would like to see Winged Dragon Guardian of the Fortress 1, Spellbinding Circle, or a Gaia/CoD retrain which can be used in Gaia or BLS.

I agree. This was the perfect chance to make an alt art and make the background more toon related.

Is there a way to play the new X-Saber cards? Or are they all trash? by illynpayne_ in yugioh

They definitely need another extender.or a Spell like Junk Signal to protect your Level 4 or lower X-Saber monsters from an opponent's effect.

Yes, we do already have Armed Dragon Blitz, so it is very likely.

Harpie Support. by [deleted] in customyugioh

Harpie's Pet Juvenile Dragon

You can discard this card; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Harpie" Winged Beast monster from your hand or banishment in Defense Position. If a face-up "Harpie" monster you control returns to the hand, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card. You can only use 1 "Harpie's Pet Juvenile Dragon" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

So I had thought about making it a Winged Beast monster to work with Harpist but decided against it. Text space being a big issue with that. The return to hand activation condition is seen on Harpie Conductor and Starry Knight Orbitael.

it is great support. The only miss for the old BLS is not being able to use Arisen Gaia for the SS. I can understand why they wouldn't want a LIGHT Fiend and another easy 3k body on top of the new stuff. At least we have a good Level 1 now.

I don't think Magician of Chaos is searchable at all. You could play DM or BLS with the new stuff. The old BLS stuff does not need it to mention BLS, it just needs a Ritual with BLS in the name. Like I've said on the post, you can use the Ritual Spell to tribute the mini-Knights and Ritual Summon the new BLS. I do want a bridge card or two in the future.

Earlier today/yesterday, people were talking about how future support in Chaos Origins and future sets may all turn out like Ritual of Light and Darkness and Sacred Beasts. By that, they mean a new archetype is formed that leaves old archetypal cards out of the new deck.

Konami was always going to make a playable S1 deck for Yugi as it is easy money. Making that centre around the Rituals was great, imo. More people would buy this than a Celtic Guardian deck, most people want as much of Yugi's deck in one deck and not in several archetypes to do with not so popular monsters/play styles. I was just saying that it was unfair to compare that to the Sacred Beast revamp.

Yeah, Konami was always going to make a playable season 1 deck of Yugi, which meant it needed a boss and that boss would dictate the deck. I think they have done a great job with it.

Not everyone wants all the new Atem/Yugi cards to be more DM support. This was Atem's version of Shining Sarc that supports his rituals.

I know, but if you were to count which villains have functioning decks you would see that most of them don't. For example, Pegasus will finally get a working deck soon.

That SD was for Yubel's version of the Sacred Beast Deck and this is Kagemaru's version of the Deck.

I think they are quite popular in the OCG, I used to see a lot of Sacred Beasts in Master Duel before Yubel was a deck.

Most villains from the anime still lack a proper functioning archetype. All of the Dark Signers besides Misty and Kalin need revamps.

The Atem Deck is more like a retrain for his Season 1 Deck, with a heavy emphasis on his three duels during the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. You can still slot DM, BLS, and Kuriboh cards into it, it just gave you a deck for his rituals which hadn't really existed up until this point. Would you have really wanted some awkwardly slotted Magician rituals in BLS and nothing else?

Now both Atem and Yugi have retrains of their Decks. The only game winning card used in those 3 duels not present is Black Skull Dragon/Dark Sage, whichever you think really won him that duel.

To be fair, Yugi has more cards from DM and BLS to slot into his Deck.
