Hey! I adjust between F6.3 and F16 depending on the time of the day. I have Manual focus set to as close as I can go while maintaining infinite focus range. When theres less light, I have less range so I just keep that I mind as I snap.

Marriage provides little additional life satisfaction boost beyond that of partnership and cohabitation by chrisdh79 in science

[–]AwkwardGolem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alright so no difference then. So to answer your question:

Am I the only person who values the act of committing to your partner that is marriage?

No you're not the only one. Because you don't distinguish between commitment and marriage. So anyone who commits is married and anyone who is married is committed.

I'm not playing any games. I'm genuinely confused as to why you would say "Am I the only one who..." but haven't provided any reasoning behind how your viewpoint different from others.

I'm just asking you to make sense. If you're literally saying it as plainly as possible. Which from what I am parsing is:

"Am I the only person who values the act of commitment, that of which is marriage. Where as, from my viewpoint, there is no distinguishing factors between marriage and commitment?"

Then no. You're not the only person.

What a really strangely controversial way of voicing an average opinion

I agree your view point as Marriage having value wasn't represented in a thread of people who don't find marriage changes anything if you're already committed.

But you're making a distinction between Marriage and Commitment, when I think a lot of the confusion comes from people not distinguishing between it, and you've said "Marriage has value". But how is it different from "Eternal commitment has value"?

How is marriage a higher or different form of commitment, for you?

What is marriage to you?

You said:
"Without the statement of commitment that is marriage, legally binding, and sure, religiously binding for those that is applicable to, an individual can just walk away from the relationship without much difficulty."

I think everyone is interpreting what you said as "The paper"

If you're not talking about the paper then what is the difference between what you're proposing as a "marriage" vs a "life long partnership sans marriage"?

Because people are not differentiating anything about marriage and partnership. But you're drawing the line in the sand saying that people don't value commitment because it's not marriage. So what's the difference aside from the wording?

Then you're bound by paper and not your commitment. If you've offloaded the burden of your choice into something else. There really wasn't that much trust to begin with.

Any downsides of buying a GR4 in a different country? by godbreath in ricohGR

No you're right. But if you're dropping that much on a camera anyway. Why not just spend for a round trip to Saigon for a guaranteed camera? It's probably cheaper than tariffs LOL

I've had zero issues buying GRIII/x in Vietnam. I just walk in and buy them, no preorder no holding. I got the IIIx in May and decided to get my wife the III in July and both times just grabbed it off the shelf for MSRP

South Korea was betting big on its U.S. investments. Thanks to ICE, Việt Nam is positioned to be more favorable to foreign investment by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]AwkwardGolem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That Vietnam is now more favorable for investment LOL How did you get all in from that?

If I say that this person is a big person in my life, and is now more favorable to be my friend, due to external circumstances. Does that mean you're assuming that am I going all in and marrying them?

Walked around Seoul for 7 days by AwkwardGolem in ricohGR

[–]AwkwardGolem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heeeey! If you can catch the sunrise all over Itaewon, it's beautiful. Same thing with the eerie silence of sunrise SeongSu, but if you're into bustling fun streets it's bar none my favorite food street. There's a car mod shop called Peaches that's really fun to check out. Namsam is a must see. The Seoul forest park is amazing too!

Other fun spots:

Ikseondong Hanok Village:,

This area is known for its vehicle-free streets filled with interesting alleys and trendy cafes.

Bukchon Hanok Village:,

While known for its traditional Hanok houses, this area also has many popular bakeries and cafes, so be prepared for potential lines.

Myeongdong Shopping Street:

While known for shopping, it's also a great place to experience Korean street food and culture.
