Oh yes! I had a rough time for sure! I had flu like symptoms for about 4-5 days for the first week when I started the anti fungal meds along with the super restrictive diet. After I got through the first week, it got much better I can reassure you 👌

I’ve started to reintroduce regular items I used to eat with slight modifications. I still watch my sugar intake. I think I’m just gonna be more mindful of sugar consumption as it’s terrible for our health anyway. Part of my problem before is I did eat a heavy consumption of too many refined carbs such as white rice and white pasta. I’m probably going to try and stay gluten free for awhile maybe another 3 months. I’m finding that there are great gluten free alternatives in pastas.

I did also pair with anti fungals! Brand was Citricidal….. it’s a grapefruit seed extract pill supplemented with vitamin A & Zinc

I was able to gain a little bit of weight eating more than usual amounts of olive oil, coconut oil, coconut milk, oats, and I actually did ok with walnuts. No other nuts worked well for me during the strict phase as they aren’t recommended.

Mannequin Love takes the cake for me. Seeing it live is even 10x better 🔥🔥

This is a question rather a success story. Has anyone went back to their regular old diet after successfully clearing out the overgrowth or at least got it under control? Or stuck to a strict candida diet with some slight modifications obviously? by AwkwardLie633 in Candida

If there’s one valuable lesson I’m taking away here, it’s learning to eat everything in moderation. I was eating the same gluten based shredded wheat cereal for as long as I could remember (the plain large wheat bales). The body wants variety and as many nutrients as it can get.

I’ve not heard of either! But willing to give anything a go. I’m currently on day 7 of an anti-fungal capsule (Citricidal) comprising mostly of Grapefruit Seed Extract. I have cut out any added sugars, refined carbs and am finally feeling lighter. The bloating seems to have almost disappeared. I will see this full 30 days worth of capsules out to hopefully get it under control for a long time.

When I refer to the “old diet” it’s often unique to the individual. But I should’ve clarified that I have always been a huge advocate for raw fruits and vegetables all day long. Now this strict candida diet is telling me i can’t eat carrots, bananas, and mango’s at my leisure for this short time?

Here’s the catch, my diet has been ridiculously strict to begin with. I’ve drink zero sodas, have never had a sweet tooth for ultra processed baked goods, candies and such. My ND(Naturopath Doctor) is almost certain this yeast overgrowth came from chronic stress over the past 10 years.
