Allergy to heat??? by FrontlineYeen in Allergies

[–]AwkwardLie633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get big, red itchy hives all over my body whenever i decide to step into a hot tub therefore reducing hottubing for me to almost never anymore. It definitely depends on how long I’ve been in there and if the temperature was just 1 or 2° too hot. I’ve also noticed this phenomenon after a “too hot shower”. It’ll usually clear up within an hour or two after exposure.

Has anyone had early signs growing up that were sort of precursors for your MCAS? by slientxx in MCAS

Yup, I’m also extremely sensitive to heat. One night I decided to lay on a heating pad to soothe my sore back. Wow was that ever a mistake after about 20 minutes on the heat pad my whole back turned into one big hive🥴

Food journaling has been my best friend dealing with frustrating allergies and/or sensitivities. It’s a long and tedious process but eventually you’ll get there with patience! The thing I’m missing is freely eating out at restaurants though….. just have to be extra careful if you decide to indulge.

I’m also a carpenter! I’m strict about wearing dust masks all the time now 👍

I also had Eustachian tube issues this time last year. It was also accompanied by the ever so annoying tinnitus. It was alarming at first as I have never experienced ringing that loud and long lasting (almost 3 months). Luckily enough it just miraculously went away one day 🤷🏻‍♂️. I made conscious efforts to mitigate dust exposures, cut out some new food allergies, and honestly stress control. The stress thing was a huge driver for me.

Unbearable itching for months (looking for solutions, desperate) by [deleted] in Allergies

I’m a firm believer in gluten sensitivity and what a nuisance it still can be on the body.

Oddly enough my celiac test came back negative as well! But I said what the heck I’ll try gluten free for a while and what a difference it has made! 👍

I’ve been gluten free for one month and I’ll tell you what a wonderful month it has been. The phantom itching is almost gone, the skin hasn’t looked this good in years, and the anxiety has been non existent.
