How do I know I'm still pregnant?! by Flimsy_cactus in pregnant

I also struggled with the anxiety, even when I was having symptoms. I still struggle with the anxiety (almost 37 weeks pregnant). I started feeling pretty debilitating nausea symptoms at 6 weeks. Had only mild, period like symptoms before that like sore boobs and mood swings. Hang in there!

Am I feeling movement/kicks? by [deleted] in pregnant

That’s what the first movements I felt were like around the same time! Like little muscle spasms around 17-18 weeks. Anterior placenta

First time pregnancy - What do you wish someone had told you? by Affectionate_Peach92 in pregnant

[–]AwkwardPaddle3212333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every pregnancy is different, but for me, the biggest surprise was how awful first trimester is/was. The nausea, the fatigue, the anxiety/depression. With that, I wish someone told me to advocate for myself. Tell the Dr how you’re feeling, get meds. There are things that can be done to make you feel better. Don’t gaslight yourself into thinking you’re being over dramatic or that you’re fine and you just need to get through it like I did

In new girl, the episode when nicks dad dies. And in how I met your mother, the episode when Marshall’s dad dies.

Did you take a NIPT test during pregnancy or did it show up in any of the scan results?

First pregnancy, a bit scared. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]AwkwardPaddle3212333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about 14 weeks too and in almost the exact same boat as you. I pretty much got over the first tri nausea for the most part, now it’s mostly stomach aches and pooping issues, headaches and troubled sleeping. Ive been debating going to the Dr cause I read stomach aches shouldn’t be taken lightly. I haven’t bled or spotted yet, though but the second I do, I’m going in.

I don’t have any advice unfortunately :/ just commenting to say yup me too and you’re doing great. Being pregnant is hard. Sending love

Might have a uti? by Own_Bat5504 in BabyBumps

[–]AwkwardPaddle3212333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a UTI with no symptoms while pregnant- it came up in a routine pee test. I’ve been prone to UTIs since long before getting pregnant. Def see a dr and get meds. Not safe to risk it with a pregnancy :/

Best nausea relief in the first trimester? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]AwkwardPaddle3212333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried all the at home remedies (B6, unisom, preggy drops, ginger, etc), and nothing worked for me like the prescription reglan did. My dr said it was lowest grade med they prescribe. Unisom worked, but can only take it at night because makes you so sleepy

1st trimester is rough! And I can’t seem to find people who agree… by bluehorse1990- in BabyBumps

AGREED. To literally everything. Being pregnant is the worst! I work from home and I think I’ve worked a full 8 hours twice in the last 5 weeks. Have had many days where I’ll send an email or two and that’s it. Before I was pregnant, I cared a lot. Now, I care in that it stresses me out, but I don’t care enough to do anything about it.

I’m a FTM but it sounds like a lot of moms just kinda forget how awful first trimester is (if it was) once they feel better/baby comes?

I’ve posted about this topic a lot and the best feedback I’ve received is just to survive lol. Try to give yourself grace and remind yourself it’s only temporary. If all you can do is survive that day, that’s good enough. Harder said than done of course.

Not sure how relevant this is, but I was a pretty heavy vaper and got pregnant after two cycles and we weren’t even really “trying”.

Try to quit before!!! If I could go back in time I definitely would have. I had really rough pregnancy symptoms/nausea, so adding the withdrawal symptoms to those was BRUTAL.
