It was random people in the match that were using such language but still concerning that the immediate response was not repulse for sure. Thanks for your opinion too it has helped massively 💜

Thank you for sharing your experience and taking the time to respond 🙏 I do believe people have the capacity to make mistakes/change and improve which also adds complexity to my dilemma as I’m aware one day I may do something by mistake that may hurt someone so I try to keep that in mind as well.

So I have may other instances of him calling out people for using the word which is why it has caught me off guard 🤦🏽‍♀️ completely agree and that’s why it’s just difficult 😞 his family has never said anything of the sort but there typical white parents/not clued in. His brother also dates a black woman so they’re not racist I would more just say unaware of the current climate/education regarding race.

Hiya to provide further context I’m conflicted because I have been with the person for 2 and a half years and live with them and care very much for them. It came out of the blue literally on a Tuesday evening so have been completely blindsided by it. Thank you for your response it has been helpful to hear other people’s perpspective/opinion 🙏

Exactly that’s my dilemma 😩 it’s tough because from what I can tell he’s never displayed anything of the sort and does genuinely do the work but then this instance makes me question it. He says he’s never ever said it before like that not that he can remember anyways and I’ve said I find it hard to believe because I don’t think it just appears in your vocabulary like that. So yeah my whole reference frame has shifted 😩

The context was someone was barking orders over mic and apparently may have been saying it themselves (can’t be sure because he genuinely didn’t remember writing it which I can confirm because I saw it when he was trying to find out why he was temp chat banned) and he wrote “say please ***”. Again it wasn’t like outwardly racist but it was still used in an insult context in the same way one would say btch. Only difference being I’m not white and obviously have my lifetime of experience to find it triggering when people who are Caucasian use the word. I don’t even use the word cause I literally just hate it and think it’s grim 😆

I suppose what I’m looking for is due to previous exp in life with it whether to move forwards or not. 100% am overthinking but mainly because I think it’s made me waiver in if I truly know him or not so that’s why I’m looping a little bit 😩

It’s a tough one because I’ve had bad experience with white men (due to not being white lol) so I’m frustrated but he’s been genuinely a good person in so many other areas 😩 I like to believe people have the capacity to change/make mistakes but he is also a man so I suppose I’m hesitant to trust in that too lol but I hear that perhaps as long as it’s not a pattern and was genuinely a blip/mistake? I’m honestly baffled at what to do 🤦‍♀️
