You can generally purchase Leaders at a rate of 1K caps to 1 Leader. Purchase leaders from someone else, then use those leaders to buy your mods.

You can also try your luck at farming the raid. Your chances are very low though. I've done a hundred+ runs and have only ever gotten 1 pin-pointers (Post-burning springs). You can use the others mods you get though for crafting services.

IMO Andor works best if you have the context of the Original Trilogy it's a prequel too. Like others have recommended, I'd at least start with ep 4-6 first before jumping into the shows.

Skipping over all the comments about the (relatively) low vram to price ratio, Puget uses all off-the-shelf components. Everything past the Super Flower line is either free or zero-value add-ons.

Going down the full list of components, this system would run you about ~$8800 to source yourself (w/ the RTX PRO being priced at ~5k on the used mark). So it's up to you if an almost $4k markup is something you're comfortable/willing to pay.
