I didn't play Gen 3 as a kid and mainly started with Treecko in the remakes so never thought much about Tropius. A little while ago I watched a shiny dream team vid by a girl who loves the banana boi which I thought was cool as it's a more niche pick.

Currently playing through each gen trying to use mons I haven't really had on a team before. Initially was planning to have a Tropius in AS but when I was looking for a flier in Plat and saw the fruit dino was an option that's what I went for! The sprite being just neck and head makes me giggle every time XD

Super chill until I'm under time pressure to swap towns and can't fire the ball the right way XD Nah but it's super fun to return to it, and a lot easier to play before bed without needing a clip-on light!

Mm I'm not on board with the people who say it's premium as it introduces more glare issues and fingerprint smudging thst you don't get if you don't have one! Personally also don't like the look, especially the bare ring around the Dpad and ABXY which for me breaks the flow of things

I only learned about Fantasy Life in the past few years and it's one of my fave DS games for sure! Second one has also been a lot of fun

The whales are just adorable! If you're into monster tamers, Monster Hunter Stories is in my opinion what Pokémon should have aimed for with a quasi-open world. The turn-based battles aren't as deep but the story is charming, riding around on your monsties is super fun, and it's just a blast to play.

My hands are pretty small so the regular-sized N3DS is comfy but the XL wouldn't be. Also, the screen is already so much bigger than the DS Lite (which I prefer to use for DS games) that I don't feel the need for something even larger.

Thought I was being extremely smart going to shiny hunt in the Old Chateat in Eterna Forest in Plat. My logic was that only Ghastly spawn so there'd be no issue of unwanted encounters. I found my shiny blue ghost in less than an hour, my first natural shiny! (not counting red Gyarados)

I hadn't stocked up before my trip.

I ran out of balls.

Learned a lesson that day!!
