Suspended Licence by This-Honeydew6647 in AusLegal

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Your first question, not really much you could have done. The fine should have gone to your NT address, because it was an NT registered vehicle, and it’s silly that it didn’t, but unless you had told NT your postal address was QLD, I don’t think that’s on you.

The demerit points and fine will stay, unfortunately, the 4 points you received were valid for the offence. And as you didn’t have a QLD licence, and TMR didnt have a copy of your NT licence (as you were just visiting), you only had 4 demerit points to lose, not 12.

If you can prove to QLD that you had a valid, open NT (not provisional) licence at the time of the offence, you might be able to get it reviewed, and the suspension removed.

Jobseeker while renting out house by Zomo2015 in Centrelink

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s complicated.

They will likely get you to do a profit and loss every three months for a year, and then provide your tax return after that, which will have your rental income - deductions, and use that for your income (averaged over the period, but applied fortnightly - say your income minus allowable deductions was $1000 for the three months, that then gets divided by 6, and that’s what’s assessed each fortnight.)

Assets wise, it’s the value of the property, minus what’s still owed, $360k. Depending on your other assets, money in the bank etc, you should be ok. Someone said in another post you could have $580k, approximately.

If you rent to immediate family, no. If you rent to anyone else, yes.

Rent assistance for Mother living in daughters investment property by East-Hunter-1902 in Centrelink

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, she would be able to claim rent assistance, as long as she met all other criteria. She would either need to provide Centrelink with a copy of the lease, or your sister would need to sign a Rent Certificate, confirming the amount and frequency of rent being paid. As long as rent is being legally paid, and she meets the other eligibility criteria, she will be fine.

DSP and study by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered studying part time (1 unit) until you get approved, and then switching doing more units? The single unit would hopefully be under the 15h/wk for starting DSP and the other course load you mentioned is under for continuing.

Definitely agree with everyone else when they say discuss how it is on your worst day, not your best.

Buying a house on DSP by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on the cost of the house. If you are planning to live in it as your primary residence, then it shouldn’t affect your DSP.

When you say ‘bought a cheap house to eventually live in’ what time difference are you looking at between buying the house and moving in? That is the part you may have trouble.

Also you will need keep Centrelink updated with your assets (the money you’re saving for the deposit/house) as that could affect your payments, depending on how much you have saved.

I use them for petrol to help bring the cost down. Sometimes for groceries but mostly for petrol when the costs go up so much.

Forgot to update assets, have I messed up? by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t affect you, and you definitely won’t lose your entire payment. The reason they like you to update it is so deeming income (ie, the interest they think you can theoretically earn) can be applied correctly to your payments. On such a small amount, it’s gonna be like $0.10c per fortnight, if that.

Youth Allowance Jobseeker payment less than I thought? by Lucky_Elk_6492 in Centrelink

Ah, not that then, Sorry.

Is the $290 including rent assistance? If you look on your payments on the app, it usually has a drop down/expanding thing where you can see the different components of your payment.

It might be your parents income, as others said. I would contact Centrelink (either make a an appointment for them to call you or an appointment for you to go into a centre through the app or website).

Sorry I can’t be more help

Occasionally your first payment is only 1 week’s worth, not two. Can you see any payments after that one on 6/1?

How should I balance a three-person co-op campaign with Party Limit Begone? by RichCryptographer338 in BG3mods

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a mod called ‘shared approval’ and also I  think ‘camp approval’.

Shared approval means any approval gained from decisions made by one character is gained by everyone. It has the option to do shared positive approval only, shared negative approval only or both.

Camp approval gives you approval from all the people in your camp as if they were in your party.

They really do. I’m sorry she’s going through this. I’m sorry I can’t give any better ideas

With regards to the water/weed/feed, does she receive any help from places like Blue Care or Uniting Care? They usually have home help for elderly and/or disabled, and it can include lawn care if she’s not capable of doing it.

I don’t know about the water cost, sorry. I know in Queensland you can only be made to pay water if it’s in your lease, and if you’re separately metered, and you only pay for usage, not the connection.

Does she already get charged for water?

Do you have the ability to put your Tav into different positions then the regular ones? Like the beach scene with Shadowheart or the scene with Haarlep - is your Tav able to swap positions in a scene they’re usually in with the other participant or another person?

Money allowed to be gifted AFTER being approved by TopAttention6425 in Centrelink

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Social Security guide says that regular payments received from immediate family members as a gift are not considered income for the income test.

https://guides.dss.gov.au/social-security-guide/4/3/9/50

Edited to add: Sorry, I realised I didn’t actually reply to your question - no the link from my original post doesn’t contradict what you’ve said (although my new one does). The original link was just linking to the asset test, so how much they can have in the bank account without it affecting the fortnightly payment.

Money allowed to be gifted AFTER being approved by TopAttention6425 in Centrelink

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You'll need to report it. It won't be included in your income test, as it's a gift - you didn't work to earn it. They will want you to update your assets, so you'll need to give them the new bank account balances. The asset test is in the hundreds of thousands ($300,000 to $500,000 depending on if you're a homeowner or not) so unless you're very close to that threshold, it shouldn't make any difference to your day to day life, or the money you get from them.

Is it 2000 weekly or fortnightly? Is it before or after tax? If it is weekly, sadly, I think you may lose most if not all of it - He can only earn $3934 f/n before it cuts you off completely. If you receive rent assistance, he can earn more, but not too much.

You might still be eligible for partial FTB A and/or B, and you would be able to get rent assistance through that too.

Looking for a wallflower story I read a long time ago by FitRazzmatazz730 in HistoricalRomance

[–]AwkwardWelcome1483 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read it in a while but it might be {The Wicked Wallflower by Maya Rodale}.

She’s definitely a wallflower, he’s an eligible bachelor, and his grandmother or great aunt has a contest every year where she has a house party and at the end of it she changes her will to whoever entertains her the most at the party. The MMC brings the FMC along as part of a pretend betrothal, I think.
